I've been to Sestriere twice now and loved every minute of it - the snow never let us down and the instructors are brilliant! If you want a laugh listen out for the 'slope sniffers' - some of the young males ... you could write a book on chat-up lines for just one week there !

The snow is just about guaranteed, the range of runs fun and with so much distance to cover any intermediate would certainly not get bored. I'd say a good, all round resort, fun and not too ugly unlike some places in France (Le Menuires - urgh !).

If you're wanting a club, then the only club is Tabata - get there early to secure a good plot as you'll find the locals pack the place out and the queues go round the block. It's the only late place open. Don't get stuck like we did by not having a taxi ordered to take us back to the hotel ...
a commando crawl, across piste, in the freezing cold, moonlit night was had by all - sobered us up though ;-)) Enjoy !
