Oppdal offers lift-served skiing in 4 different areas: Vangslia, Hovden,Stølen and Ådalen. Ådalen has the highest elevation, and can be accessed by transport runs from each of the other areas. All areas are connected. Hovden has the steepest terrain of the four, while Vangslia and Stølen are a bit bigger. For playing in the park, head to Vangslia or Hovden, but where Oppdal really shines is the off-piste skiing. It is particularly good after snowy weather comes from the NW. Areas around Ådalen, Hovden and Vangslia will get filled with lots of the white stuff. Nice spots are easy to find, but be quick; the best places will get tracked out quickly.
