One of Russia's largest ski areas, close to Mt Elbrus (Europe's highest peak) which boasts year-round skiing. The total length of the (rather steep) ski runs is around 16km, the longest one is 'Stary Krugozor' - 'Azau' - at 2.5 km. All runs are marked and prepared by snow groomers. Expect an antiquated lift infrastructure. Because of its steepness it is not really good terrain for beginners. Resorts close to Mt Cheget include:
