Canterbury’s Mt Hutt Ski Area is a vast mountain with diverse terrain and a high country pioneering character. A six seater chairlift, a dedicated quad chair, a triple chair and a beginners’ surface conveyor lift deliver all levels and styles of skiers and riders to fantastic groomed runs, off-piste and parks. Scheduled to open on June 14, Mt Hutt will again become a national and international destination for many of the world’s best ski racers who rate the mountain as the best Southern Hemisphere training ground. Mt Hutt is family and beginner friendly with a great Snowsports School and a licensed Skiwiland Crèche. Children six and under get a free day pass.

Visitor Reviews of Mount Hutt

Big AL ( Gold Coast ) from Australia writes:

I have been skiing Hutt for the last 11 years and have dragged a few mates across the ditch. Everyone of them have been back more than once. It is far more cost friendly than skiing in OZ, has a longer season with better snow. Some club fields are close by and offer a whole new range of skiing / boarding. The one down side is you do have to drive up the Mt. Looking to my next trip (20 more sleeps)
