Distant Mount Cook from the East Ridge of Mount Dobson. Unusual snow depth in August 2012 meant that pretty much any line off West Ridge was safe. Busy day today after a digging out day yesterday, so it was getting harder to find untracked lines off West Ridge by lunchtime. Routes from East Ridge down to the access road hold fresh snow for much longer.
