Morgins Ski Resort Guide
Morgins (population 600 in summer, 6000 at half-term holidays!) is a tiny Swiss, chocolate box, village nestled in a tight valley above the Rhone on the south-east side of Lac Leman. At first glance Morgins is not an obvious holiday destination as only 2 lifts leave the village (one on either side of the valley). However, Morgin's magic is that it is linked to the massive Portes du Soleil ski area; 12 resorts and two countries which can never be skied out in just one holiday. Whilst everybody knows all this, most of the tourists that do hit Morgins each winter leave the resort skiing early to hit Les Crosets, Chatel & Avoriaz. The real secret of Morgins is the skiing around the Follieuse area (one lift, north facing, great snow and lots of secret powder stashes in the right weather and it holds its snow 'until very late despite it's altitude). When you add all that to short transfers from Geneva, quiet characteristic pubs and a few good restaurants Morgins is a winner for those seeking to escape the crowds and still chase big mountain, big area skiing. Check it out.

Visitor Reviews of Morgins
Peter B from Switzerland writes:
At present the snow in Morgins is fantastic, with very good off piste and powder. Morgins is a family resort, but enough bars and restaurants for a weeks ski holiday, will be coming back here
