Les Rousses is just 45kms from Geneva and less from the airport. It is an often overlooked ski resort in the Jura Massif, overlapping the France/Switzerland border and offering a cheap alternative to the Alpine resorts. Les Rousses is well worth considering if the snow is suitable, especially if you enjoy ski-touring. The Les Rousses ski area covers 5 distinct massifs including the highest point in the ski area at Le Massif de la Dole (1680m). The north-facing aspect of Les Rousses tends to result in better snow than the low altitude would suggest and the northerly location means that the Jura sometimes receives heavier falls than the nearby Alps.

Les Rousses is a small resort with links to Switzerland to extend the skiing.
Great value lift pass which covers several other small resorts locally.
Les Rousses is ideal for beginners and intermediates and is never busy.
