Les Orres, in France (in the Alpes du Sud region), is a large resort with 23 lifts (8 chair lifts, 15 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1200 metres (3937 feet) of vertical descent. Les Orres has 34 pistes with a total length of 34 kilometers (21 miles). Les Orres is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 40 kilometers (25 miles) of cross country ski trails at Les Orres. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park. A small proportion of the pistes at Les Orres are covered by snow-making. The closest airport is at Grenoble but the transfer time is 2.5 hours. The nearest train station to Les Orres is at Embrun. Never, ever, ever, ever. I´ve just returned from Les Orres and thinking nothing good. Accommodation was sufficient, but resort conditions was terrible. No artificial snow, finishing of pistes was the worst. Take also all night long, finish at 9:30 am too.. No corduroy and they couldn´t find the same pressure for the snow finishing for all snowmobiles...
No recommendation.!!!
