Les Angles is a charming small ski centre set in the Pyrenees. One of the most reliable places to find a good covering of quality snow. There are a good range of runs for beginners and intermediate skiers. Especially suitable for family holidays as there are large areas for fun with the kids, tobogganing etc and child friendly tele skis. For intermediate adults, there are a good selection of easy reds, though a bit on the short side. Advanced skiers might find it rather limiting as the off-piste opportunities are few and there are only 2 blacks. There are nice restaurants in the village, and good food and reasonable prices can be found at most places. The night-life is low key without much for young singles, but it is great for families. Visitors can choose from alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country trails.

Visitor Reviews of Les Angles

Tony Pembroke from IRELAND writes:

This is a wonderful resort for beginners and intermediates. The resort has well maintained slopes and snow cannons to provide snow sure conditions which is important in these days of 'climate change. The village of Les Angles is small with some excellent restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance. My family spent a very pleasant week there in January 2007. We found the 'natives' very friendly, the cost of ski hire and passes very reasonable and the facilities for skiing excellent. There are a number of 'on slope' restaurants with good facilities and the slopes were not too busy even at weekends. We arrived via Ryanair to Carcassonne and hired a car for the easy 2 hour drive to Les Angles. We are already planning a return.
