Katschberg-Aineck Ski Resort Guide

Katschberg-Aineck are two pretty villages in different valleys that access the same extensive intermediate ski area. The village of Katschberghöhe is the more central of the two. Both villages are part of the larger Skiregion Lungau (Katschberg-Aineck, Großeck-Speiereck, Fanningberg and Obertauern) and this region includes about 150km of cross-country tracks including 5 high-altitude tracks. The ski area of Katschberg-Aineck, located between 1,060 and 2,220 m above sea level, deserves to be much better known outside Austria as it offers great facilities for a mixed group in an attractive setting. The nearest airport is Salzburg.

Visitor Reviews of Katschberg-Aineck

Emerson Cargnin from United Kingdom writes:

I've been to Katschberg-Aineck last year (end of December of 2007). I quite liked it. Although the weather was perfect, but the runs were pretty good. What I liked most was the A1, a continuous 6km run with constant inclination where you can get a lot of speed; I really enjoyed it.
