Snow advisory updated Sunday 6th July at 9pm NZ time: Snow developing on Monday for the Victorian Alps and spreading steadily east. Initially snow will only settle above about 1700m but by Tuesday it will fall to resort levels. Moderate to heavy snowfalls then continuing for several more days. Snow showers in New Zealand becoming confined to eastern areas including Mt Ruapehu. On Monday, another cold front crosses the country. Otherwise, fine and frosty weather for most areas until Friday. Avalanche risk on Ruapehu is now rated as extreme. Snow depths are at record levels for the time of year with 5m recorded at Tukino. Check local avalanche advisories before venturing off piste anywhere in NZ this week..

Several linked ski areas in the Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry) national park (Jasná-Biela Púť, Jasná-Záhradk, Chopok Juh-Srdiečko, Jasná - Luková and Otupne). Located on the north and south slopes of Mount Chopok (2024m), usually referred to, simply, as Jasna (Jasná). There is a wide selection of piste-side accommodation in the form of scattered hotels on the mountainside in attractive forest settings close to the pistes. The ski area is extensive for Eastern Europe with, mainly, intermediate slopes plus some good off-piste terrain and the new Burton Terrain park. There is 32km of skiing on 16 slopes serviced by 23 lifts, including several new ones. Great cross-country trails, a night skiing operation, snowboarding half-pipe, good schools and lively apres-ski at 950m-2,024m of altitude.

really cooll in my opinon the best place by far in slovakia,its becoming a tad tooo expensive best place to stay is liptowsky mikulasz which is like couple of k'z away form chopok,the vibe of the town is freaky and really post communistic:)but chopok itslef is modern ski village with alot to offer freeride wise and just plain old piste wise,oh and i think that they godda snowpark this year if im not mistaken.
