Harghita-Băi (or Harghita-Bai) is located on the eastern slopes of Harghita mountain in the Orientali Carpathians with several short pistes (longest 800m) in an attractive setting, with mineral springs in the resort. Snowsure and highish by Romanian standards, the area is the coldest part of Romania, having recorded -36C in December 2002. The season at Harghita-Băi (or Harghita-Bai) sometimes runs into May.
