Harghita-Băi Ski Resort Guide (resort name also written as Harghita-Bai)
Harghita-Băi is located on the eastern slopes of Harghita mountain in the Orientali Carpathians with several short pistes (longest 800m) in an attractive setting, with mineral springs in the resort. Snow sure and highish by Romanian standards, the area is the coldest part of Romania, having recorded -36C in December 2002. The season at Harghita-Băi sometimes runs into May. There are 5 lifts at Harghita-Băi but we are not aware of any cross country skiing facilities here.
