Hachimantai in Japan (located in the Iwate prefecture) is a very small ski resort with just three ski lifts but it does boast a respectable 500 metres (1640 feet) of vertical descent. Hachimantai has 10 pistes. Hachimantai is evenly suited for both advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders but with some terrain for beginners.
