Resort name is also written as Grosseck-Speiereck.
Großeck-Speiereck has lovely spaced out pistes with plenty of safe off-piste between. There is a good mix of runs to suit all levels and an excellent lift system, making Großeck-Speiereck an ideal resort for a mixed group. The mountain restaurants are traditional, friendly and inviting and not overpriced like some developed Austrian resorts. Lunch on the sunny balcony of the Panorama Alm, with views across Lungau, is a must. Just beware of what looks like grated cheese and is in fact raw horseradish. Wow.
For a relatively small area, but with easy access to more skiing than you can do in 10 days, there are plenty of non-skiing activities on hand at Großeck-Speiereck for the non skiers or just for a day off.
