Foppolo summary

Foppolo is a well known ski area in the Lombardia region of Italy and is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts (3 chair lifts, 3 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 500 metres (1640 feet) of vertical descent. Foppolo has 15 pistes with a total length of 47 kilometers (29 miles). Foppolo is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. There are 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) of cross country ski trails at Foppolo. The closest airport is Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) but the transfer time is 2 hours. This is a great little resort!
Designed for the beginner to intermediate (you need to ski reds to get to other blue runs). Enough runs to keep you busy for 3/4 days as the ski pass includes the 3 resorts Foppolo, Carona and San Simone.
I stayed at the Hotel Des Alpes and thought the hotel was great! Good price, good hotel, great location, great food and fantastic hosts in Fausta and Gian Franco.
Would definately recommend it!!
(Although the Christallo is located at the bottom of the slope, it frequently has large Italian school trips in the hotel. Something that would put me off.)
