Davraz is a great place to go for a day's skiing if you live in the local area. It's an easy two hour drive from Antalya, on the coast to the ski centre car park. I have only ever been on a Sunday so I cannot say if all the lifts are open on other days, but I have never had a problem with crowds. This year (2013/2014) there is a shortage of rain/snow, in Turkey, so the season will be short, but last year we went at the end of March and there was just about enough snow at the bottom of the lift (still a couple of metres at the top though, but the terrain is limited without the big main lift).
Last year they opened a big new lift to the top of mountain (around 2400m) so there is now an impressive total vertical of about 800m, though this is not all skiable in one run. However, in typically Turkish style there are no maps anywhere on the internet showing this lift, and zero advertising about this lift anywhere! Last year the route from the top was left as a fairly steep unpisted run (probably equivalent to an Alpine red run) but the YouTube videos I have seen from this year show a less steep but longer gentle pisted zig-zagging run down to the bottom.
There are also a couple of nice runs leading to the resort's only drag lift. If they modernized this lift and added snow cannons to the bottom couple of hundred metres near the hotel they would create a decent snow-sure resort.
The weather is generally sunny and mild and the pistes are normally quiet so this is something of an undiscovered gem. The main piste is also fairly gentle and pretty ideal for beginners, so skiers of all abilities can enjoy themselves.
One tip: bring your own packed lunch. There is a cafe halfway up the mountain, but last year they did not even have running water in their kitchen or in the toilets. There was no way I was eating from there!
To the management of Davraz: sort out your marketing, get some snow cannons and invest in a couple of new lifts and some new runs and you would have the best ski resort in Turkey! There is a huge local population in Antalya waiting for a decent ski resort on their doorstep.
As it stands, Davraz is a fun but limited mountain, ideal for day trips but lacking the terrain to entertain decent skiers for longer than this.
