Visitor Reviews of Coronet Peak

Timbo from NEW ZEALAND writes:

As a long time patron of Coronet, I have to ask Debbie and Katie what they are talking about with the slow lifts?

"A lot of resorts in Europe and also now OZ are operating high speed lifts, not so at CP" - interesting considering Coronet has 2 high speed lifts, 1 state of the art Poma Leitner 6-seater, (complete with foot rest!), and one Dopplemayer quad, which operates more uphill capacity than any other lift in NZ. Strange...

Overall Coronet has proved throughout this year with its new base building and spectacular snowmaking capabilities that it is the creme de la creme of skiing in NZ. It might not be Zermatt but its getting there. They had the mountain covered with artificial after that odd warm spell wall to wall within 10 days. Fantastic storms the last few days have meant awesome powder too!
