Champex Lac is one of those hidden gems in the Swiss Alps, a real playground with lots of off-piste through the trees and some nice pisted routes with powder long after the south facing resorts have turned to concrete. Crowd free even at the peak of the season. If you're fed up with the crowds in Verbier and fancy some decent snow and a bit of peace and tranquility, Champex is the place for you.
