Visitor Reviews of Andalo

Christopher Briffith from United Kingdom writes:

I have just returned from a ski trip in Andalo, booked via a gay-friendly tour operator. As the Italian capital of gay skiing, I have to say I felt very at home there; rainbow flags hang from the lampposts on the main street, and everyone was very friendly and accepting of me and my partner. There are also a couple of excellent gay bars in the village, Omosenssualé being our favourite with cheap drinks, an 'anything goes' atmosphere and very friendly bar staff - hi Rocco ;-)

As for the skiing it was acceptable. The mountain is nice & compact, and while there hadn't been snow for a while when we were there, the piste bashers and artificial snow kept it skiable with not too much ice. Overall, I would say the best thing about this resort is its atmosphere for our community, with the skiing coming in a not-too-distant second.
