Casitas at Capitol Reef, hotel in Bicknell

A recently renovated homestay, Casitas at Capitol Reef offers accommodation in Torrey. The homestay provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking, and free Wifi.

The room was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. More modern inside than any places on the rest of our trip. The interior was our favorite of our trip (stayed at 3 different places outside 3 national parks). Loved that the mini fridge also had a freezer, so we could freeze our cooler ice pack. Also appreciated the real utensils, dishes and dish soap (so we could wash our water bottles). Casitas is building some newer units and if they have the start viewing deck (above ground level) this might help some of the issues we had using our telescope. Staff was very helpful as I am pretty sure I was a pain about a delivery that we unexpectedly needed, but they didn't once give me a hard time. Delivery also delivered just in time!

Bicknell is a small town about 10 miles outside of Capitol Reef National Park where you can find hotel rooms that are less expensive and family restaurants. Bicknell is a bed-room community for the National Parks, not really a destination of it's own.

    Very quiet.

Very quiet. There aren't a lot of places to eat but Torrey is just a few minutes away which has several very good local restaurants. The hotel prices are quite a bit less than Torrey with great access to Capitol Reef.

I only stayed one night. I'd stay in Torrey next time.

I only stayed one night. I'd stay in Torrey next time. Bicknell has no open shops, cafes, petrol/gas. It is a small town to drive on through. The side streets are not safe to walk. Each house seems to have fierce dogs - even small ones that bark incessantly and would be very dangerous if they jumped the fences. I was attacked by a small dog that was not controlled or restrained and the owners could not care less. I was walking the sidewalk.

The staff was very friendly and the room overall met my expectations. It was a large room with a good size bathroom as well. Plenty of space for me and my bags. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I had a good night of sleep. It was nice to be able to park my motorcycle directly in front of my room. At the time that I booked my stay the rooms at the Aquarius Inn were less expensive that rooms in Torrey and it was just 15 mins away from Torrey.

The room was very large, and they gave us a rollaway bed for free. The town is lovely and small and quiet, not too touristy, but there is at least one good restaurant as well as a coffee shop and (I think) a movie theater. Bicknell is close to Capitol Reef National Park but not as crowded and touristy as some of the closer places. And we really liked the pool!

The room was exceptionally clean and had been renewed in style and good taste. The bed was very comfortable. Good location for day trips to the many amenities of Wayne County, Ut. Great menu at the restaurant, and the food is well presented and tasty. Definitely a place to go back and recommend.

It was very convenient to get to Capitol Reef from the hotel. The office staff was helpful, but not friendly. They put our keys on the front door when we were arriving late. The room was very large and spacious.

This was a large comfortable room. Nothing fancy...but basic and clean. They did have an indoor pool and jacuzzi (jets weren't working great) that none other of our 9 hotels on this trip had.
