Bicknell is a small town about 10 miles outside of Capitol Reef National Park where you can find hotel rooms that are less expensive and family restaurants. Bicknell is a bed-room community for the National Parks, not really a destination of it's own.

    Very quiet.

Very quiet. There aren't a lot of places to eat but Torrey is just a few minutes away which has several very good local restaurants. The hotel prices are quite a bit less than Torrey with great access to Capitol Reef.

I only stayed one night. I'd stay in Torrey next time. Bicknell has no open shops, cafes, petrol/gas. It is a small town to drive on through. The side streets are not safe to walk. Each house seems to have fierce dogs - even small ones that bark incessantly and would be very dangerous if they jumped the fences. I was attacked by a small dog that was not controlled or restrained and the owners could not care less. I was walking the sidewalk.

I drive up Scenice Byway 12 on my way to Bicknell, one of the best days of driving I had during my 19-day road trip. The surroundings are mesmerizing! I got some food from Curry Pizza (I chose the butter chicken specialty pizza option which was very tasty, along with some garlic naan.

The pool is fantastic. It's covered, heated, plenty large for the kids, and there's even a little hot tub. The location is wonderful, right off of Main Street, near a couple restaurants, a fantastic coffee shop, and a gas station. The best part about the hotel is how close it is to Capitol Reef National Park. The price is great, and the staff were pleasant, kind, and very helpful. Rooms were clean.

The room was very large, and they gave us a rollaway bed for free. The town is lovely and small and quiet, not too touristy, but there is at least one good restaurant as well as a coffee shop and (I think) a movie theater. Bicknell is close to Capitol Reef National Park but not as crowded and touristy as some of the closer places. And we really liked the pool!

The room was exceptionally clean and had been renewed in style and good taste. The bed was very comfortable. Good location for day trips to the many amenities of Wayne County, Ut. Great menu at the restaurant, and the food is well presented and tasty. Definitely a place to go back and recommend.

Nothin fancy, but everything was clean and comfortable. The pool was warm and the hot tub was hot. The rooms are big.. the AC cranks! Great value and close enough to Capitol Reef. Half price the rooms in Torrey!

This hotel was a bit run down. The room was large and fairly comfortable. It was not the cleanest room. The staff was not terribly friendly. The pool hours are not very convenient. Overall it was an okay hotel.

This was a large comfortable room. Nothing fancy...but basic and clean. They did have an indoor pool and jacuzzi (jets weren't working great) that none other of our 9 hotels on this trip had.
