Beautiful views and trails.
Beautiful views and trails. Greenbriar is a favorite spot for our family. Beautiful creek, bridges, picnic and trails. Usually not as busy as other parts of State Park. Restaurants are so expensive for families. The best place we found for families to eat was called Best Italian on the strip. They had such a variety menu. Spaghetti, pizza, burgers chicken strips, salad and Calzones. Spaghetti was enough to share. Pizzeria of Gatlinburg was another of our favorite. It was so busy when we were there, but we were able to use the trolley to get around. I would avoid parking. It is very expensive. Definitely use free parking spots and the trolley. Very easy to use. If possible, I would avoid Spring Break week, but staying close to town and using the trolley and back ways to miss traffic worked for us.

Gatlinburg is a fun little getaway town with a wide assortment of shopping, food, and attractions. Make sure to ride the trolley for cheaper transportation and stop by the Village donut shop, Friars Donuts! They are the best in town!

Booking.com sent me to Days Inn it was a nasty motel, had trash bags outside my my room. The TV did not work correctly and they could not and would not fix it. They would not change my room to a clean room. I guess they were all nasty because there was lady in the office complaining about her nasty room. They did offer a refund but kept part of it. I took it and went and found a nice motel with clean room for almost the same price that I paid Booking.com. This is the second time I have used this site and the second time they sent me to the nastiest motel the first one even had bed bug and I had to leave with a full refund. I had to go find another motel with clean rooms. I give up I guess they don’t.check out the motels they send you too???
The location is perfect for the full Gatlinburg experience. You are within walking distance of everything centrally located on the main Gatlinburg strip. This is very convenient considering parking costs $20 at most of publically available lots. The Inn opened in 1937, it has been modernized but basically looks like it has been around forever. Some people prefer sleek and modern if that is you, you probably should stay somewhere else. My wife and I loved it and will be back again next year.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms have a nice design and were cleaned well. Generous breakfast bar with a good range of choices. Located very close to downtown Gatlinburg, I is any easy walk and great to be able to park at the hotel and just walk around all the shops. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in Gatlinburg!!!
For those of us who only need a clean, functional hotel room to sleep this place is perfect. The location is amazing and the staff were helpful. The parking garage is very practical and made us feel safe, especially when a storm rolled in. Plus the continental breakfast was quite filling. We didn’t use the pool or gym so I can’t comment on that.
Check-in and check out were smooth. The Room was clean and look to have been recently refurbished. Beds were comfortable and clean. Amenities were simple, but fit our needs for this trip. Worth the expense to be in downtown and easy walking distance from everything in Gatlinburg. And we never had problems with parking, which is always great.
We had a great stay! The suites with the jacuzzi tub was nice. All the staff were so helpful and nice. The 24 hour outdoor pool was awesome and the whole feel of the hotels was layed back and very relaxing! With in walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg and the strip. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
great location to see downtown Gatlinburg from! park in their lot and walk to most everything! the hotel was great! very comfortable beds, friendly staff, great breakfast….we sat on our balcony and watched the chair lift go up and down the mountain! I highly recommend this beautiful historical hotel!
We have stayed in 10+ hotels in the Gatlinburg/pigeon forge area, but this is by far our favorite. Ever since our first stay here we haven’t been anywhere else. The rooms are all big spacious suites and the hotel is close distance to everything. The hotel is also one of the cheapest in town.
We had an exceptional stay at the Gatlinburg View Lodge!! It was very clean and accompanied our family perfectly. You can walk or catch a trolley to downtown Gatlinburg easily and the views from the hotel are definitely a treat! All around a 10 out of 10! Gatlinburg's hidden gem!
This hotel is well placed for exploring Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. It is pleasantly situated with rooms having balconies overlooking a river, with well-designed facilities and an attractive outdoor pool. The bed and pillow were really comfortable.
I love that the hotel is right on the river. With each room having it's own balcony. We saw 2 river otters, which was amazing. And a ton of ducks and fish. It's also walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg which helps a lot cause traffic can be hectic.
Older hotel but was rustic, clean and had a great pool. The breakfast could have had more variety. Nice views from the hotel, to downtown and mountains of Gatlinburg. Friendly and helpful staff.
Was walking distance to downtown gatlinburg, we rode the trolly to and from the city which was great! The creek sounded beautiful and it was so relaxing to sit on the balcony and listen.
Central to everything, beautiful ,lots of green it's got a little mall right where the hotel is. No need for a car cause you are in the core of Gatlinburg downtown
