Hyatt Place is right across from MLK PLAZA and there is a lovely memorial there on the principles of non violence. There is also sculpture and a walkway marking historical timeline of the movement. Beautifully done. This town is very quaint and I definitely will return to see more of the art scene.

It was filthy in areas. Rugs were disgustingly dirty.
It was filthy in areas. Rugs were disgustingly dirty. Bathroom was an electrical hazard. Breakfast was tasteless and stale. Same food daily. Pastries like hockey pucs and pancakes hard like discus thrown in cross country sports or olympics. Pool indoor super disappointing and cold. Hot tub was cold tub less then your body temperature. Door did not latch when closed and man opened stating wrong room. Very unsafe. I will never book a room there again or any Ramada any where.

Our hometown, so definite nostalgia factor. (We now live in Texas.) Wonderful to see that the town is flourishing. The short walk to campus and pedestrian-friendly is great for those who enjoy a stroll.

The hotel was run down and dirty we chose to check out and leave early not to stay the second night.
The check in staff was rude and couldn't even find my reservation.
We are up there a lot as our son goes to Penn State and I would not recommended this hotel to anyone.

Bad all around - staff need training in customer service.
Bad all around - staff need training in customer service. Could not find my reservation, even after providing confirmation - hotel stated date was wrong on their end and changed my room and charged me more $$. Needs cleaner bathroom and provide appropriate bedding. Restaurant service lacking, along with food quality, overpiced.

The staff is great.
The staff is great. The rooms are comfortable, The bathrooms are spacious. Thanks for allowing me to travel with my dog. The onsite restaurant is great. We took advantage of the nice free breakfast and also had dinner there both evenings. It was tasty, and arrived at the table hot. Drinks were refilled without asking! Waitstaff is exceptional.
The bed was super comfortable and our room was clean. The whole hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. We didn't hear any road noise or noise from other guests. The breakfast was good - I'm not much of breakfast person so it was more than enough for me - good coffee! Bagels, eggs, fruit, oatmea, waffles, muffins, yogurt. We had our dogs with us and the area is very walkable. In fact, we walked to the dog park. Our room and our bathroom was very big. We had more than enough room for our two dog crates.
This is by far one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. We travel a lot for my daughters field hockey team and this is one of the cleanest nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at the front desk takes the time to check in to make sure the room meets your expectations? No one does that! The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, a wonderful selection of food. Fantastic coffee options for the on-site restaurant was fantastic.
The staff are as friendly and helpful as I've rarely seen. I found myself in this hotel in spite of myself, as I was supposed to be in another hotel in the center of State College.
I was a little disappointed, but in the end I found myself in a wonderful hotel, whose greatest strength is the human quality of the people working there.
I recommend it 100% and would go back without hesitation!
This hotel was perfect! The room was very nice and the beds extremely comfortable. The view from our room was of the golf course and the hills in the distance; lovely! A full hot and cold buffet was provided for breakfast. All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. So very happy that we chose to stay at Wyndham Garden State College.
The hotel was in a close location to the campus and the property felt safe. The room was a good size and the bathroom was clean. Though the shower was outdated, as others have said in reviews, the shower pressure was amazing. Especially after a long drive - it was a great shoulder massage.
It was easy to navigate around the State College area given where the hotel was located. given the rowdy nature of the game, it was very quiet. No one was loud or obnoxious. Everyone at the hotel was nice, including the staff. No complaints there. Checking in and out was very easy.
The hotel was well designed for the comfort of the traveler, with comfortable pillows and beds, a climate-control system that was quiet and easy to use, a nightlight in the bathroom, and lots of hooks for clothes and bags. The breakfast was good, but not outstanding.
I’ve liked the hotel very much. It is truly designed to make your stay comfortable. Location, nice breakfast, a gym that covered all my needs, a covered pool which I haven’t used but looked very tempting. The staff was really kind and efficient. I fully recommend
I was only there for one night but it was clean and comfortable not just my room but the whole facility. The room with 2 double beds was very spacious. It is an older hotel so it looks a little dated. The staff was great.
Everyone was wonderful!! From the desk staff to the breakfast person to the cleaning folks, the service was first rate. The hotel is clean and has everything I need. It was a delightful stay that I expect to repeat.
Just a spectacular surprise of staying at this amazing boutique hotel! Spectacular staff and great rooms! John and staff in the restaurant was just awesome addition and great breakfast!
