Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept.
Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept. I loved the layout and PNW-mountainy feel. Cute downtown areas with both a modern and traditional feel; i.e., modern amenities with a small-town feel. I didn't know there was a Shakespeare festival every year and would love to come back during this time. It's also a great place for outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, etc.

We love Asland and the downtown area, and the shops, and restaurants and Caldera Brewing Company too. It is close to many wineries also, and attractions. If you like plays there may be something playing outside or inside that you like. We like the fact that there isn't a sales tax on most items too. We like Medford with it's Fred Myers grocery stores, and Harry and David with their food, and wine tastes. We love Jacksonville also and the Union Patio Bar and Grill where we eat on the outside patio, and their food is delicious, and they have a great happy hour over by 5PM, however, and the town is very historical. We drove to Lake of the Woods from there and it was nice to see that area with views of Mt McLaughlin, and a restaurant and bar area, and campgrounds, and boating and swimming. Crater Lake National Park is drivable from there, but it would be a longer drive. Grants Pass is also not very far, and there are many wineries there too.

Ashland is so beautiful, we finally took the time to go left off of HWY 5 and check it out! The downtown scene is very lively, loads of restaurants to check out, good variety as well. Worth a visit for sure!

We came for 2 plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Theater and enjoyed it immensely. Great restaurants, great bike path, and wonderful, wonderful ambience. Bear creek bikeway is one of the great trails in all of Oregon! Omar's Steak House is circa 1946 with wonderful food & atmosphere. We come down from Portland every year!

We were there for a play by OSF and we were not disappointed. I've always loved productions by OSF.
The Breadboard had delicious breakfast, really nice staff too. My husband loved Morning Glory for brunch. Downtown is lovely to walk along.
Overall we enjoyed Ashland and hope to return.
Very reasonable for Ashland and a descent room. Easy check in right at 3pm. I was upstairs close to the office and it was quite enough. Comfy bed and low pressure shower, but did the job. Plenty of food close by, but many packed on a Saturday morning. I walked to downtown for a Shakespear play in late afternoon and felt safe enough by myself, even coming back at 11pm. It's 1.5 miles, flat and easy. Maybe not for everyone, but I enjoyed the walk and weather.
A precious birthday memory I will cherish while celebrating at the Bayberry Inn! The hosts were so welcoming. The the home is gorgeous, beautifully furnished and clean. It's conveniently located in downtown Ashland. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and Lithia Park. The keyless entry was convenient, bottomless coffee/tea bar was appreciated and gourmet truffles in room was a sweet surprise. The gourmet breakfast, oh my goodness….DELICIOUS!
Finally a motel that ripped out the carpet and replaced it with a nice laminate floor—so much easier to keep clean! The room was nicely done and appeared to have been recently refurbished. Pillows are wonderful and bed was comfortable. Good breakfast considering the Covid restrictions. I’ll definitely stay there again when I’m in Ashland. Very close to downtown area.
The in-room jacuzzi tubs are worth the upgrade. The beds are quite comfortable, and the indoor fireplace keeps the room super warm and cozy. The layout of the bathroom was nice, and the location was central to everything Ashland and Medford, Oregon, have to offer. The grounds of Lithia Springs Resort are quite beautiful, as well.
I like that it was dog friendly and clean. The people were really nice. The facilities were nice. Our room was the perfect little room. Our dog had places to walk. Overall a great experience. And very cute place. Ashland was my first visit to Oregon and did not disappoint.
The staff were SO accommodating and pleasant. They helped us switch rooms when there was a mix up with the selection from this website, and made sure we were happy. The decor and atmosphere was charming. The location couldn’t be better for walking downtown Ashland.
Good value for money - decent location within a short drive of downtown Ashland. Room was basic double size - and simple decor - but nice and clean. Even though there were noisy neighbors, I was impressed with how quiet it remained in the room. Staff were nice.
This place is fabulous and is good enough to be a destination by itself! It is, however, in walking distance of all the downtown shops and theaters that make Ashland a travel destination, and is an easy walk to Lithia park, which is wonderful.
The room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. Sleeping was a bit uncomfortable as the room was very stuffy and the pillows too lofty. The location is excellent for visiting SOU. Overall, a very good hotel for the price.
It's a town that lives for the Shakespeare festival, so know that as you start looking at places here. I actually used to stay at the Ashland Hotel, but thought I would mix it up. Stay was just fine. It's what a best western feels like.
Awesome location. Walking distance to everything in downtown Ashland. Great pool and hot tub! Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the price for your stay. We will be back!!
Unless you recognize the name, you wont know that this property is an iconic Ashland institution. I'm happy we decided on the place, and even happier that the property is now doing well.
Without doubt the best hotel we stayed at on our trip along the west coast. Large and comfortable rooms, great staff and very nice breakfast. Also has a laundry onsite.
The balcony is unexpected, facing the mountian, very pleased to stay in this hotel. Walking distance to the thearter and center area for food and shopping.
We liked everything. Breakfast was great, the room was spacious and the staff was super courteous. Highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites in Ashland.
