Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept.
Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept. I loved the layout and PNW-mountainy feel. Cute downtown areas with both a modern and traditional feel; i.e., modern amenities with a small-town feel. I didn't know there was a Shakespeare festival every year and would love to come back during this time. It's also a great place for outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, etc.

The staff is always extremely informative and will greet you with a kind smile. The location of this hotel is perfect walking distance to many excellent restaurants and the theatre. We love Asland and the downtown area, and the shops, and restaurants and Caldera Brewing Company too. It is close to many wineries also, and attractions. If you like plays there may be something playing outside or inside that you like. We like the fact that there isn't a sales tax on most items too. We like Medford with it's Fred Myers grocery stores, and Harry and David with their food, and wine tastes. We love Jacksonville also and the Union Patio Bar and Grill where we eat on the outside patio, and their food is delicious, and they have a great happy hour over by 5PM, however, and the town is very historical. We drove to Lake of the Woods from there and it was nice to see that area with views of Mt McLaughlin, and a restaurant and bar area, and campgrounds, and boating and swimming. Crater Lake National Park is drivable from there, but it would be a longer drive. Grants Pass is also not very far, and there are many wineries there too.

Ashland is so beautiful, we finally took the time to go left off of HWY 5 and check it out! The downtown scene is very lively, loads of restaurants to check out, good variety as well. Worth a visit for sure!

We came for 2 plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Theater and enjoyed it immensely. Great restaurants, great bike path, and wonderful, wonderful ambience. Bear creek bikeway is one of the great trails in all of Oregon! Omar's Steak House is circa 1946 with wonderful food & atmosphere. We come down from Portland every year!

We were there for a play by OSF and we were not disappointed. I've always loved productions by OSF.
The Breadboard had delicious breakfast, really nice staff too. My husband loved Morning Glory for brunch. Downtown is lovely to walk along.
Overall we enjoyed Ashland and hope to return.
The check-in was easy and well described in our welcome message even though we arrived around midnight. The location was in a quiet neighbourhood close to the city center. The whole building had a cool and vintage vibe which translated into our booked room ‘the artists abode’. The room was executed very well and we both liked the style of the interior. We particularly enjoyed that the space felt as a small apartment with soul rather than an ordinary hotel room experience. We will definitely come back if we have the chance.
Excellent 2-course breakfast with coffee and juice. Excellent bar, but it closes by 10pm so its still quiet in near-by rooms for sleeping. Great neighborhood and you can easily walk to theatre venues. Excellent restaurants close-by, as well as bookstore, pharmacy and more. Very responsive staff throughout the inn from Front Desk, restaurant, housekeeping, groundskeeper. This is my second stay and my first choice for Ashland.
Timbers Motel was near Southern Oregon University and several restaurants and stores. It was walkable, or a short drive, to the Shakespeare Festival and downtown shops. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It was reasonably priced for Ashland. The breakfast was simple but enough to start the day.
The staff was exceptionally helpful, cheerful and friendly. Breakfast was fabulous. The room was very clean. the location was better than any of the places we've stayed in Ashland. We come to Ashland quite often and own properties there. Bard's Inn suited us even better than some of the more expensive places we've stayed there EVER!
The property inside and out exceeded my expectations. After staying at Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites, I won’t stay anywhere else. The staff was nice and made me feel very welcoming. Our room was right next to the pool and was very relaxing. I can’t wait to stay here again in the near future.
The design and hominess was so well done, down to the seasonal candies, apple decor and animals to see in the yard (horses and an adorable cat!) It is so peaceful, clean, safe and quiet and so close to Ashland downtown and nearby hiking. Owner is a sweet, chatty, nice woman too!
The staff were SO accommodating and pleasant. They helped us switch rooms when there was a mix up with the selection from this website, and made sure we were happy. The decor and atmosphere was charming. The location couldn’t be better for walking downtown Ashland.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. It was very homey and cozy. It is right next to the Cabaret Theatre, so we could walk to and from the play and all over downtown Ashland.
The location was perfect to visit Southern Oregon University and walking distance to several great restaurants. It was about 1.1 miles to the Shakespeare Festival in downtown Ashland too, an easy walk for fairly active people.
Not is the Stratford relatively close to the shops and restaurants in downtown Ashland, but the staff, particularly Christy (sp.?) in the breakfast area was abundantly engaging and informative.
This was a lovely find, as we only used it to break up a drive. However, we would come back to Ashland and stay here. the room was comfortable, and the WiFi was excellent.
Without doubt the best hotel we stayed at on our trip along the west coast. Large and comfortable rooms, great staff and very nice breakfast. Also has a laundry onsite.
