Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept.
Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept. I loved the layout and PNW-mountainy feel. Cute downtown areas with both a modern and traditional feel; i.e., modern amenities with a small-town feel. I didn't know there was a Shakespeare festival every year and would love to come back during this time. It's also a great place for outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, etc.

The staff is always extremely informative and will greet you with a kind smile. The location of this hotel is perfect walking distance to many excellent restaurants and the theatre. We love Asland and the downtown area, and the shops, and restaurants and Caldera Brewing Company too. It is close to many wineries also, and attractions. If you like plays there may be something playing outside or inside that you like. We like the fact that there isn't a sales tax on most items too. We like Medford with it's Fred Myers grocery stores, and Harry and David with their food, and wine tastes. We love Jacksonville also and the Union Patio Bar and Grill where we eat on the outside patio, and their food is delicious, and they have a great happy hour over by 5PM, however, and the town is very historical. We drove to Lake of the Woods from there and it was nice to see that area with views of Mt McLaughlin, and a restaurant and bar area, and campgrounds, and boating and swimming. Crater Lake National Park is drivable from there, but it would be a longer drive. Grants Pass is also not very far, and there are many wineries there too.

Ashland is so beautiful, we finally took the time to go left off of HWY 5 and check it out! The downtown scene is very lively, loads of restaurants to check out, good variety as well. Worth a visit for sure!

We came for 2 plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Theater and enjoyed it immensely. Great restaurants, great bike path, and wonderful, wonderful ambience. Bear creek bikeway is one of the great trails in all of Oregon! Omar's Steak House is circa 1946 with wonderful food & atmosphere. We come down from Portland every year!

We were there for a play by OSF and we were not disappointed. I've always loved productions by OSF.
The Breadboard had delicious breakfast, really nice staff too. My husband loved Morning Glory for brunch. Downtown is lovely to walk along.
Overall we enjoyed Ashland and hope to return.
We had such a great stay...some particulars: private entrance with parking right by the room, hot tub use; there's a barbecue, fire pit and a back yard area. If you are into star watching, you can go out back and see the stars at night (we brought our telescope). Mini fridge and toaster in the room, the bed is comfortable, and you get snacks and plenty of water bottles when you arrive. The shower is good for tall individuals.
Lisa and John respond quickly and are just really nice people. 10 minutes to downtown Ashland.
Very convenient to downtown, pool was lovely and relaxing. The grounds were peaceful and lush with their kitty and resident deer around. The main building for breakfast and lounging has lots of books to explore. Our room was very comfortable with updated bedding linens than what is photographed on the booking.com page. The breakfast was delicious and very filling. We actually didn't even have to eat lunch bc of it's size. Delicious coffee. This was a good fit for our relaxing, lazy weekend exploring Ashland.
We stay there as we drive south. This was the third or fourth time. The rooms are clean and a good size. The hotel is large with lots of free parking and it is located near I 5 so it is easy to access and exit. The breakfast was good for one that is included in the room price. The breakfast room was large and spacious and the choices were above average for a continental style breakfast. We like staying there for an overnight stop on a longer drive.
The location is very close to downtown Ashland but you feel like you are in the country. Serene, quiet, ponds and ducks. The breakfast was totally over the top good. Lots of food and very delicious. The hosts were so helpful and recommended restaurants to us. We were only there for one night but we would definitely like to return to spend more time there.
Hot, delicious, lots of choices! The hotel and area were spotless!
Receptionist was so nice and helpful with restaurant ideas. Lady who was cleaning Feb. 16
evening shift was making sure everything was immaculate. Thanks you!
We loved the historic downtown hotel. The decorations for Christmas were amazing. The lobby had a huge tree and the balconies were decorated with garland. The roaring fire was great to sit byl we loved eating at Larks.
Horrible breakfast. Dark room. We stayed at a Hyatt Regency in Portland Oregon that was the same price. The difference in quality was unbelievable. The best western hotel room we stayed in was not worth $218 a night.
Great location in town (in walking distance to the city center and most restaurants). The whole hotel is Shakespeare-themed which gives it a unique touch. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Recommended!
The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice. Close to downtown shops and theaters (Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Oregon Cabaret Theatre).
it was a beautiful place to stay- charming hosts and staff- a wonderful breakfast and a convenient location to Ashland’s downtown and the Shakespeare festival theater headquaters.
This was a lovely find, as we only used it to break up a drive. However, we would come back to Ashland and stay here. the room was comfortable, and the WiFi was excellent.
The property is clean and modern. It is a short walk to downtown Ashland and the plays, shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and quiet.
