Breakfast was more than just cold cereal and fruit. Scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, waffles.
Rooms were large. Heater/air conditioner were in the bathroom, closet area, not next to the bed. Good sized vanity and sink. There was a desk with chair, a nice bench in front of the bed and an extra chair and floor lamp. Plenty of places to plug in electronics. Right at the top of the bluff so you have a view of the straits. Staircase that leads to downtown. Safeway is only a block away.
Sitting at the base of the Olympic Mountains, just off Highway 101 and 1.9 mi from the city center of Port Angeles, this lodge-style hotel features an outdoor pool.

It’s a very nice hotel with an excellent staff, the rooms are nice and comfortable and very clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looks nice and the whole place just has a great vibe so we will definitely be staying here again. The continental breakfast was good with a nice selection of fresh fruit, etc. And you can’t beat the room rate!

Great location! It's an older motel & the rooms are small & nothing fancy. But! They have kept the rooms very clean & well maintained & the bed's are comfortable. This last trip, they let us store our things in their garage because we were there early & even moved it all into our room when it was ready & let us check in early. The staff were so friendly & went out of their way to be helpful. We have stayed here over several years when catching the ferry to Canada & will keep doing so.

We were only there two evenings, but were unhappy with both restaurants that we chose for dinner. They were identified as the best or better ones in town. However, we did not enjoy it. We really would’ve enjoyed some good seafood. Decision to stay there was only to see high Ridge in the Olympics and it was fantastic.

Although we were only there for 1 night as we moved on to Vancouver Island the following day, Port Angeles seemed to have the quaintness of a small town, but with plenty of facilities. Obviously the proximity to Olympic NP & ferry services are the main plusses.

Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas...
Port Angeles is centrally located to all the natural areas you would like to visit. Many places are closed at the beginning of the week. Cruise ship comes in and that makes restaurants really busy at dinner time. Plan ahead if you want to eat somewhere nice. Kokopelli Grill was nice and food was good but getting a seat took awhile. Some people couldn’t be seated. Try to get the shuttle that goes to Hurricane Ridge then you can go anytime. If you are a car, you’ll have to get up there early.

Stayed in Port Angeles because it was so close to Hurricane Ridge in the national Park. Had dinner at Joshua's restaurant next to the Super 8. The pictures hanging on the walls of the restaurant are good enough to be in an art gallery--very impressed!

I'm weird because I love clouds and rain, and I hate heat. P.A.has my ideal climate.
The town is just the right mix of city and suburbs. The houses and neighborhoods are all so cute and wonderful. I am seriously considering moving there.
Best restaurant: New Day Eatery
Best american breakfast: Chestnut Cottage
The hotel felt like a scene from 'The shining' with Jack Nicholson. No pictures on the walls, no plants. Just basic utilitarian facilities. The rooms were effectively huge boxes but had very very comfy mattresses/beds. Extremely clean and plenty of room with TV. Had a balcony overlooking the workers/builders yard who were renovating the hotel. Woke us up early but that was fine. The place works for the purpose but has no character at all.
Gorgeous sea view in a beautiful garden full of lovely blossoms. Natural habitat shared with eagles and deers up the undeveloped beach. Landlords are friendly and make great breakfast. Convenient location, next to a road of Lavender farms, close enough to great winery and restaurants in Sequim, hikes in Port Angeles. And of course, room is very clean. Love the Jacuzzi.
We got there at 11 pm the room was dirty. The bad was not made. There were used cups on the floor and dirty towels on the floor. We asked for another room just to be placed in between open doors of people drinking, smoking and doing drugs. I had my two kids with me and decided to leave. I ended up paying 300 dollars for another hotel. Do not go there !!!
Room was super clean. Had a super clean refrigerator with a bag of ice in the freezer. Bed was very comfortable. A lot of electrical outlets on both sides of the bed to charge all our electronics. Could park the car in front of the room. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Will be back to the motel for all future trips to Port Angeles.
Very spacious, quick easy check in and out. Friendly, helpful staff. Great stay for a motel. Will need to stay in Port Angeles most weekends next 6 weeks and plan to stay here again because of location in town, and lower cost in an expensive, remote town with very limited summer availability. Mini fridge was nice and cold.
We had a pleasant one-night-stay here. The owner were very friendly and we could even check in a lot earlier than planned. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, water and coffee was available and located very close to the Olympic National Park. Would recommend it to everyone who passes through Port Angeles for a stay.
I stayed here because my husband had a biking accident and was hospitalized in Port Angeles. It was the only place I could get during Memorial day weekend so it was pricey. It turned out better than I thought and had been somewhat updated. No breakfast bar and no elevator that I saw but it was a decent stay.
Super clean and comfy! Everything inside the apartments is new and clean. For reference, even the skirting was clean!
The heating temperature was perfect and easy to regulate. I even forgot a scarf and they kept it safe for me.
From the outside it looks like a motel, but inside its a starred hotel :)
New management took an old lodge and made it a destination of its own. Beautiful sitting area with three story windows overlooking golf course and outdoor pool/hot tub area. Just off highway 101 with easy access to downtown Port Angeles. Homemade cookies and scones from kitchen staff a nice touch.
Super 8 in Port Angeles, WA is the best! They gave us a super, wonderful and huge room, which is beyond our expectation. The hotel is clean and spotless. The staff are nice and helpful. The free breakfast is also good. Super 8 is highly recommended and we will stay here again.
excellent location for ferry and transit. Was not on the main highway thru town where most other hotels/motels were located so avoided the constant traffic noise. Beautiful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic range.
The room was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed for our night in Port Angeles after exploring Olympic National park. It is centrally located and easy to get to downtown. The staff was friendly. Would recommend!
The receptionist called us, and she was very courteous and helpful.
It was close to points of interest in the city, but literally all the other motels had the same advantage, as the town is very small.
Location was close to Port Angeles. Everything else was very basic and we had to pay much more for such stay! We liked the two separate rooms attached.
