its a place to stay close to Mt Ranier and its about the same as most others- the area is fairly remote and there isn't much to choose from so Packwood was about as good as any others at least from appearance. very close to park entrance and to town but it's old like most if not all others in the area. it suffices for most peoples needs but it's basically motel six and similar low end motels as for it's quality.

Cute cabin, loved the hot tub.
Cute cabin, loved the hot tub. Very comfy place, loved the deer as soon as we got there! We didn't want to leave!
Could use a little more privacy as the hot tub/back door area is right under the neighbors cabin and there's no curtain on there big window.
Nothing else bad to say, would stay again and again!

I loved Rainier Park, Nachos Restaurant was good food and good prices, the restaurant that is on the property of Packwood Lodge has the best breakfast burritos. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The wildfire smoke from the Goats Rocks Fire was the only bummer, but that was out of everyone's control, so big deal. I still would go back and stay.
Thanks, Curtis

Would try other lodging for next visit, Packwood Inn was 'okay' because it was available on short notice for my days.
If you like good food at a reasonable price, Nachos Mexican on Main Street was a pleasant surprise

This is the perfect respite at the end of a long day exploring the area. Whether it was a campfire, relaxing in the hot tub or just sitting on the deck enjoying the quiet and occasional elk walking through the neighborhood. The hosts provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable.

Packwood is situated for quick access to a number of good recreational sites. Hiking, bacvkpacking, mountaineering, nordic and alpine skiing, hanging out with beautiful scenery.
I have been to Packwood a number of times over the years. The services there continue to improve and offer better choices of places to stay and eat.
Hotel Packwood was a wonderful historic place to stay, near to Mount Rainier and Mount Adams, a perfect stop for our Pacific Northwest roadtrip. It's clear that the hotel has been restored beautifully and being taken care of. We loved sitting out in the porch in the evening, having tea and watching the odd elk walk past. The staff were very helpful in their tips about hiking in the area. The check in and out process was super easy and the room was very beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay again.
Location was convenient to the National Park and the town of Packwood. When we arrived we discovered the coffee maker did not work. The host ordered one on Amazon and had one delivered to the property quickly. We got there during a heat wave and the first night was too hot but once we got the place cooled off with the window units it stayed cool. The host, Samantha, was very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the process. The home is nice and spacious and I would recommend it to others.
This little place was perfect for my needs. I loved the personal craftsmanship throughout the cabin! The bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi was a welcoming sight (after some hot, long, hard hikes).
It is tucked off a main road in Packwood, but close to Rainier and St. Helen's. The people and businesses in the town are friendly and welcoming. Be sure to go to the saloon for great ribs and Packwood Spirits for a nice bottle of wine or some craft beer.
This charming property has been lovingly restored. Our group of four friends enjoyed the quaintness of our accommodations. The staff was gracious and very helpful, answering our many questions about visiting nearby Mt Rainier NP. Located right in the center of Packwood, we were able to park our car and walk to the coffee shop, brewery, market and more.
The hotel exhibits a supercozy atmosphere, everything is clean and it's perfectly located in the middle of town so that you can reach everything easily.
The owners are very quick in responding in case of questions, even though we neither met them nor any staff.
There's tea, hot chocolate and water available in the lobby plus some books for reading.
The staff was exceptionally friendly, and made us feel very welcome when we arrived close to office closing. There was popcorn in the lobby, hot drinks available, plastic silverware which was appreciated for our microwaveable dinners, and the TV was huge. It was quiet and comfortable, and I'd definitely return.
Location of the Packwood city is absolutely genius. The hotel itself is little bit outside the city but still relatively close. It's clean, personal was really helpful. I am absolutely certain that I'll comeback again when I am going to revisit the Mt. Rainier. Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams.
The rooms are completely unique and spread around a beautiful garden setting. It feels like camp with all the amenities of a large Hotel. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and live on site. Great place to stay if you are visiting or planning to climb Mount Rainer.
Our stay at Packwood Lodge was truly fantastic. The standout feature was its close proximity to Mount Rainier, which was the primary reason for our visit. Being just a stone's throw away from such a magnificent natural wonder was a major plus.
Great location close to MT Ranier National park and not too far from Mt Saint Helens national monument. Also the motel is in the centre of town so a very short walk from shops and eating places. Packwood is a charming little town.
The cabin was very homey and in a quiet neighborhood. The owners live next door and had great communication prior to our stay. The location is close to Mt. Rainier National Park and Packwood is a nice town with restaurants.
Close to the Sunrise section of the National Park. It’s located close to many restaurants in Packwood. We requested a quiet room and the manager accommodated us by putting us in a back room that was very quiet.
The beds were extremely comfortable. Also the whole atmosphere at the hotel in just more than great. If you are sleeping near Mount Rainier or White Pass, then definately stay here.
Very clean and cute place! Air conditioning was great in the 100 degree weather! All amenities provided and we loved the black stone for making breakfast and dinner.
Right at the end of town and it was perfect. One block away from a great restaurant and the whole hotel had a great ambiance. Room was good and comfortable beds.
Loved seeing the elk at front of the hotel every morning and in the evenings! Great location- close to Mt Rainier NP, room was clean and breakfast was good.
