It was supposed to be Ski in/Ski out, but ended up 4 miles away from Sun Valley. I was referred to this other property by Vacasa, Booking.com's agent, after I discovered that the original condo was under construction and completely uninhabitable. Booking.com should have known this in advance. I feel cheated. No compensation for the inconvenience has been offered. Shame on them!

Nice Western town with many restaurants and interesting shops.
The major Sun Valley Ski area (Bald Mountain) has a great variety of trails (most runs classified as green would be blue in other resorts, and some blues would be blacks elsewhere, so expect a challenge), while the beginners have their own Dollar Mountain. Bald Mountain has a lot of off-trail terrain open to bowl- and tree-skiing, but unfortunately, they don't offer Mountain Host tours that would enable visitors to safely explore those options.
On-mountain restaurants offer different menus, with more variety and better fare than typically found at ski areas.
Parking can be a problem, particularly when there is as much snow in town as they experienced this year.
The folks at PK's Ski and Sports really know their stuff; and their prices are reasonable.

Parking in Ketchum is a joke. Need way more spaces.
Parking in Ketchum is a joke. Need way more spaces. Not much to do in Ketchum but it is okay for a place to jump off from as the surrounding area is good for outdoor enjoyment.
Went to supper at the Pioneer. Highly recommend getting there early, like four or four-thirty to avoid a long wait. We had the Jim's Spud which is a fully loaded, huge baker with steak bites mixed in. You gotta try it. Also had the prime rib. Both were great. With a couple of drinks each, shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, and the above-mentioned main dishes came away with a bill of about $130.00 including tip.

Ketchum has a cute and walkable downtown.
Ketchum has a cute and walkable downtown. Lots of boutique shops and eateries. The many walking/biking paths make it easy to travel in and around the town. If you are driving, it's fairly easy to park on the streets. We visited over the Labor Day holiday so several special events were happening. This added to the things to do but also probably added to the downtown traffic as well.

Check out Ernest Hemingway's grave.
Check out Ernest Hemingway's grave. Interest to see and to talk with others that may be visiting. Pioneer Saloon is a wonderful lovcation for prime rib. Bring your appetite. We visited in the summer and it was not overly crowded. There was so much more to do in regards to outdoor activities. Research the area before you go.
Breakfast was simple but excellent. Interesting that we had to move to two different tables to find a clean one. They should use placemats to avoid sticky tables. The breakfast staff was excellent and friendly.
The location is ideal and this is a popular hang-out for drinks, dinner, and music.
I love to stay in hotels and check out the rooms. We really enjoyed Room 218 as it had a large terrace that was more private than our neighbors. Rooms 216 to 213 all seem excellent with 213 having more exposure to the street noise.
Avoid 217.
Location is great! At the base of a ski slope. This is a three-story unit. You walk in to a master with a bath. Upstairs is a kitchen and den which is sunny and looks out onto the ski slope. On the third floor is another master and bath. We are a family of four and were very comfortable. No air-conditioning, but it cools down at night. Great location to downtown Ketchum. Apartment was clean. We stayed during the summer and enjoyed hiking the area.
Old hotel with the charm of bygone times. A bit dated but pleasant. The lobby is very nice and cosy. We had a large room with a view. A funny feature was the extra “security” of the balcony door - a wooden stick in the door rail. The balcony is not private but a balcony aisle. We went for a hike directly from the hotel.
Great location, walking distance to everything I needed. Free bikes to use for guests. Great path nearby.
room was spacious and well designed. Nice deck overlooking a courtyard for all rooms. Heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub.
I would stay here again in a heart beat.
German themed hotel, great breakfast, fantastic hot tub, cozy fireplace in the lobby, beautiful views of the mountains, excellent location, you literally can't stay closer to the ski lifts. The espresso machine in the lobby made my day
We came to ski and the hotel was just across the street from the ski resort’s parking lot and base lodge—perfect location. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, though coffee was bad. Room was nice, but somewhat noisy due to thin walls.
Excellent location, big spacious rooms and great to have use of the hot tub and pool as well. The hotel staff were lovely and we even made use of the free bike rentals!
Great location short drive to Sun Valley Resort. Walking distance to multiple restaurants & businesses. Nice room though I booked premium room so that was expected.
Location was awesome. Walking distance to Main Street Ketchum, walking and biking trail. Close to ski resort if needed. Place was very clean upon arrival.
