It's a great town, where the locals made you feel welcome.
It's a great town, where the locals made you feel welcome. Hightower pub was our favorite breakfast spot, and for the most part we were able to get around by car. We were able to see the northern lights on our way into town, and definitely took advantage of the lookout spots along the main highway. The views of the surrounding areas are absolutely breathtaking!

We make reservation for five adults, booking. Com, send email with confirmation for double room, the give us one room with two full beds, the manager is so mine, and no make solutions for this, we sleep very bad, I not really recommend this property any more

Gorgeous Setting, especially Alyeska Resort.
Gorgeous Setting, especially Alyeska Resort. However, our 2 nights with almost 2 full days was perfect. Not much to do but hike, eat, and relax. We did 2 trips: Half hour to Wildlife Conservatory (excellent) and drove to Whittier an additional 15 min (45 min total). Okay. Liked Seward better.

This was a beautiful cabin b&b. It was in the woods but near everything. The people that ran it were very helpful and great to talk to. We had a full kitchen, and big bedroom and comfortable bed. All the supplies we could think of. They had a hot tub open until 11 pm. And a bonus across the street was the Double Muskee restaurant. I guess it is real famous. We sat out in lawn chairs and enjoyed the quiet. The only thing is we could have used more light. This is a must stay. FABULOUS... Thank you Rachel

Kitchen window doens’t close.
Kitchen window doens’t close. Tv couch overly overly worn for comfort. Bathroom baseboards full of dirt and hair. Mixed matched dishes. One stove burner dos not work. No ice trays. Floor unswept. I sat in my car reading instead of waiting in an apartment I rented. Led to believe rented an A frame cabin, not basement.

We locked ourselves out and called number and got assistance via phone to get back in (don't lock the handle when leaving...just use keypad). Have both a Keurig and a coffee pot. Central location to places of interest aside from being best location for aurora lights. Girdwood is only 20-30 minutes away from where we wanted to visit such as Portage glacier, wildlife animal conservation centre, Potter Marsh, Beluga point, Salmon fishing at Bird creek.
