I went Sunday to Thursday in mid December, but it seems like "season" doesn't start in Lake Placid until Christmas day. A lot of attractions and restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was raining the only day the speed skating oval was open for me, so I had bad luck and would plan better next time. I didn't get to do bobsled experience and other things from the legacy site and was even turned away from the Gondola at whiteface as a sight seer. So just make sure the things you want to do will be open when you go.

Lake Placid is an absolutely beautiful little town. Everything is within walking distance and there is so much to see and do. It’s pricey but there are so many beautiful little shops and places to eat. Walk the lake or climb a mountain, you’ll keep busy for days.

The hotel was great, very clean, beds comfy, great breakfasts! Staff was friendly and personable. Nice keurig coffee machine in room, so you can bring your own k cups if you want. They only have Green Mountain brand. They also have decaf. Location was the best! Not very far from anything! Loved the top of Whiteface Mountain, can access by elevator or hiking. Was a continuous fragrance of pine, reminded me of Christmas. While at the ski jumps we had a chance to see some of the 6-14 year olds practice. That was great! We had a very good meal at Black Bear Restaurant! Getting around town is very easy. All in all a great place to stay for a few days.

we participated in the Olympic venues passport choice and had a wonderful time exploring and partaking at each venue. the food at every restaurant was great, we liked the creperie and black bear restaurants. driving around was easy. We did mini golf, the visitors cruise on lake placid, had a manicure, made a bead bracelet, and browsed the shops. We also went to High falls gorge. the scenery in the area cannot be beat, the trees, mountains, and lakes are awe inspiring. i think that was my favorite part.

Nothing in particular. Except it is located close to Lake Placid where I was assisting hikers on the NtP trail. I only stayed two of the seven days I reserved and checked out. Moved to the Bluebird hotel for the next five days. The carriage house was far less attractive than it appears on their website. The pool pictured was not available and looked like it had not been used in years. Hoping to get a refund from “Bookings” as the motel says they are responsible.

Very nice, clean, modern and affordable rooms close to Lake placid town center and 20 min by car to Whiteface mountain ski resort. Very communicative staff. Kitchenette including both a coffee brewer and coffee machine with complimentary capsules, a toaster, microwave and fridge. Perfect for us to make breakfast in the morning. We booked a room with a king size bed which was very comfortable.

The hotel was well located, sitting on Mirror Lake. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The rooms were basic but were large and functional. Overall, good value for money. We had one breakfast which was very good but, otherwise, did not eat at the restaurant. The staff on reception were very helpful (and the cookies were delicious!).

Terrific location in the center of Lake Placid. The restaurant associated with the hotel is excellent and provides room service as well. The rooms are very nice and ours had a balcony overlooking Mirror Lake. The hotel has easy access to a nice mall with cool shops. Great pool and hot tub set up as well. Really a terrific place to stay.

Amazing new renovation! Stayed here for the Lake Placid Horse Show and loved it. The rooms are adorably decorated and the bed is massive. Check-in is seamless with just a text for the door code, and management is super accommodating. Also in a great location to walk to town or the sack shack. Highly reccomend the Boha! Thanks!

Location very good - walking distance to downtown Lake Placid. There is a small picnic area with tables and a gas grill which the owner told us we could use. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Very convenient to be able to park the car right in front of the door of our room.

Beautiful, clean, modern space located just off main street, at the southern tip of mirror lake. Rooms were squeaky clean, showers spacious and ran hot, with great water pressure. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I'll likely be back if I ever need to stay in Lake Placid again.
