It provided a decent nights stay before the Reno air races
In many respects Reno is a less outlandish version of its Nevada cousin Las Vegas. Within minutes of landing at Reno-Tahoe Airport you can be hearing the dinging of slot machines on Virginia Street where a glowing neon arch welcomes you to ‘The Biggest Little City in the World’.
Across the plaza is Harrah’s Reno, just one casino hotel available on Booking.com. Larger casinos with spas, such as Peppermill and Atlantis, are off the main strip. The largest is the Grand Sierra Resort with its own amusement park, large pool and night club. Pet-friendly motels and cheap hostels are other options.
Aside from gambling, the city hosts many events including the Reno River Festival in Wingfield Park. The Truckee River Walk connects shops, restaurants and bars popular with students at the nearby University of Nevada, the state’s oldest. The campus includes the Mackay Stadium and Fleischmann Science Center and Planetarium, set opposite the arboretum of Rancho San Rafael Park.
The Nevada Museum of Art is in Reno and neighbouring Sparks has a Heritage Museum. The 2 cities share a convention centre and livestock events centre, and there are many golf courses in their green surroundings. Even lusher are the Sierra Nevada mountains, whose peaks around Lake Tahoe offer some of the best US skiing.
3 days was perfect time. Enough to lose some money but not over what I had expected. We had a car one day that was nice but inside the city if very depressed (boarded up) but they seem to be working on it. The river walk was great, over neighborhood a bit iffy.

I was born here, I would visit Reno more often due to the immense beauty of the surrounding area, the arts, food, and things to do. I suggest going camping or visiting the wilderness (with Caution) and go see some of the history of the Silver city (biggest little city)

All I can say is Reno is now what it used to be cracked up to It used to be really the spot until COVID after COVID all downhill kind of like a ghost town downtown. A lot of the casinos are shut down nobody really is partying or having lots of fun like they used to be I've been there a lot of times before and after not really sure of a great place to eat we just eat wherever is convenient. Getting around part well Google maps will do that for you if you have a car which is normally what I have.

Our room was decent but the rest of the hotel was unsatisfactory, to say the least. There's free parking but we're handicapped so we had to pay for valet parking and pay and pay because of having to leave the hotel for different reasons. The service in the restaurants was very slow and the slots were tighter than a witches ***. I asked around to a lot of people and they said the same thing. The machines weren't paying crap. I just kept putting money into them with no payout. The signs around the casino were very poor. We could never find our way around because there was very little direction. What's with that???
We will never go there again.
Basic room, no frills. It is inside an old casino, if that's something you like. We just needed something close to Reno and Truckee, and this hotel served that purpose. We had a view of the indoor pool with no outdoor light shining into our room. We requested to be moved to a room that has a real window and we were. There's a coffee shop downstairs and a restaurant in the hotel. Coffee shop was Okay, did not try the restaurant.
It was a great location, walking distance to everything downtown. It was an easy walk from the Riverwalk to all of the casinos and eateries! We were in town for the national bowling championship, and we were able to walk there from the hotel. I also liked the pri ate parking garage. It was nice not having to worry about parking or the security of the car!
The room was fine, the neighborhood was terrible. It’s no fault of the hotel, the surrounding hotels and casinos were just in pretty rough shape, there were a lot of temporary fences up. It didn’t feel safe at night. And it smelled like someone peed in the elevator. Our actual room was very nice, especially for the price.
What breakfast? Everything worked .The room was on the 21st floor lovely view over Reno with a Safe and security around the building Reno was pleasure to walk around day and night always felt secure. Helpful staff, location was ideal and the price was a bonus. I would book in anytime if i was going back to Reno.
Well it’s down town Reno! I went there to have some fun, and play video poker. My room was up stairs from the Casino. And they have the best restaurants in town . Parking was at the same location at no cost to me and elevators to take you to the hotel and Casino. It’s a fantastic place to stay and have fun.
It is a clean and well run hotel in a gross city that of filled with sleazy casino hotels. The staff are amazing and it is a little out of the way from the aggressive drunk people that roam the streets of Reno at night. One of the only two smoke free hotels in the city.
The whole hotel seems to have undergone a complete renovation recently. The rooms have a pleasant and comfortable retro feel about them.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a stroll around downtown Wingfield Park, or the riverfront.
Clean, efficient, low-frills hotel. Not gaudy, no pretentions of being "fancy" - but very modern, uncluttered, clean and secure. Excellent location for my touristy purposes - easy walk to downtown casinos, ballpark, convention center.
The motel was in a great location. There are two major bus lines that stop less than a block away that run into downtown , and several restaurants and bars in walking distance. All the rooms had a patio, and balcony for upstairs rooms
Overall good value for money for 110$ a night. Casino lobby not as confusing as other hotels in Reno. Purple parrot restaurant has nice brrakfast 24/7. Room and shower were big, view from 20th floor was nice.
This was a beautiful suite. The breakfast was a real bonus. The pool/hot tub, fitness room, and basketball court were open. Quiet area just minutes from downtown. Very nice casino nearby (Atlantis).
Overall nice King room with a good bathroom, large TV, and solid furniture. Fitness center was great but no pool unfortunately. We enjoyed the casino and nearby downtown Reno activities.
