Our one bedroom apartment was amazing! I wasn't expecting it to feel like home. There were full sized toiletries for us to use, beach towels, and a pretty well stocked pantry. We (my husband and I) only stayed a few nights, but would honestly live there long term if we could. Our "neighbors" owned the building and were instant friends. They were so kind and helpful and their pup, Ranger, was a delight. The private beach at Whitefish Lake was a perfect get away from the crowds. It must have been the day of the week or time of year, but there were only two other boats on the lake when we were kayaking and the water was crystal clear. My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer for free and skip work for the next week ;) . We will definitely return.
This lodge is 5 minutes’ walk from the Whitefish Lake Golf Club. A free shuttle to downtown Whitefish, the Amtrak station, and the airport is available.

As the gateway to the Glacier National Park for both winter and summer activities its a great location. The downtown area has been preserved with great restaurants and bars and the local Great Northern pub is perfect for a friendly beer to watch some sport. Give the team at Whitefish Outfitters a call for some wild winter or summer activities. If commuting in on the train, the station is only a block from town and a couple of blocks from the accommodation options. Come for a weekend or a full week, plenty to see and do.

There were a lot of restaurant choices all within walking distance of each other. Town was very nice with parks, hikes, and rivers to explore. Very nice place to start your tour of Glacier National Park.
A lovely hotel the views of the lake from the main building and bar area were spectacular. it is a very large hotel lots of rooms spread out. the rooms themselves were very large and spacious bed's comfortable all amenities included - the gas fireplace in the room is a lovely theme touch.
the meals in the restaurant and breakfast were amazing and reasonable price. we were there when they had live music on both nights that were fantastic so that was an added bonus both musician were outstanding and engaging with the audience
We used the snow bus to get to town in the evening. Could be a bit more frequent. The lounge area with big fireplace was nice. Bfast seating a bit sparse but we always got a table. Although not as vast as some ski areas it offered enough for a week. On mountain food offering unimaginative but typical of most of USA resorts. Town of Whitefish nice for food a shopping. Also, non-downhill ski options good like snow shoeing and xcountry at/near Glacier National Park, Isaac Walton House.
Staff was pleasant and helpful.. Room was clean. TV worked great. Indoor pool water was sparkling clear. Washer and dryer available for public use, and the washer was free. The dryer was $2.00. Breakfast was tasty and abundant. Neighborhood was safe. The price was excellent compared to the surrounding hotels closer to the National park. First floor rooms had an access inside motel and also a door directly into parking lot to bring luggage in.
The house was decorated nicely and was very comfortable for a family stay. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The location made for easy access to Whitefish and Glacier National Park. There were lots of amenities and kitchen items for use during the rental. We enjoyed star gazing from the porch at night. Off street parking is also available.
The comfort, friendliness & home made breakfast at the Duck Inn feel more like a bed and breakfast. There is a wonderful feeling of coziness here; our bed was incredible comfortable; nice deep bathtub; room overlooking a lovely stream. The location is great. A quick 3 min drive into downtown Whitefish.
this hotel was amazing ! a quick walk to downtown and Amtrak station! clean and comfortable with a modern look. there is a reading nook to relax in the hotel that isn’t in your room as well as a wood fire sauna outside. free coffee at the front desk and can purchase waffles that are delicious.
We loved the location - close enough to downtown we could walk but quiet.
Loved the hotel itself. Beautiful hotel and grounds, spacious, comfortable and clean rooms...
The staff! Staff were wonderful! So kind, helpful and accommodating.
The hotel is very nice, and we had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room was very spacious and convenient. The grounds were nice, and location just outside of the downtown in Whitefish convenient.
The receptionist left a lasting memory as one of best experiences of my trip.. She was nice and cool and the most beautiful girl In all of montana which is better than anywhere west of the rockies.
The location suited our travel plans as it was close to the Amtrak depot in Whitefish. It was also close to the centre of town with good shops and restaurants. We found the roof patio a great idea.
The hotel was well located for Whitefish and the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly helpful from start to finish. The pool was a decent size for a hotel. The hotel was kept very clean.
The location was great! A 30 min drive from Whitefish lets you get up in the morning and be ready for the day. The hotel room was great, with great sheets and the matress.
This is my favourite hotel in whitefish. They pool is great, it’s walking distance to downtown and they have nice little extras like cookies, s’mores kits and breakfast.
