We regularly fly into Great Falls to see our daughter who lives a ways south of the city. We've never actually spent time there before and we quite enjoyed it! There are wonderful parks with great hiking and biking trails. The Charlie Russell Museum was excellent and there were several other museums we simply didn't have time for like the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. And there's always fishing/rafting the Missouri river!

Every store and restaurant we went to the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals in the restaurants were large portions and very good. We went to sip n dip saw the mermaid with our meal and had supper at Tracy’s a few blocks from hotel large portions there as well and food was good. The antique store just around the corner from the hotel has lots of treasures and the owner was very sociable and helpful Don’t forget to stop at their candy store and try their fudge and other goodies they won’t disappoint

Went down for shopping, but so much is closed.

Went down for shopping, but so much is closed. The "mall" is a dead mall with barely anything in it. Target is great, which is were we ended up. Childrens museum was closed with nothing on the website indicating it was being used for a private function.

I grew up in Great Falls, so it's fun to see what has changed. The CM Russell museum is terrific, and there are other artists also there. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center was the family's favorite, and there is a riverwalk hike to Giant Springs. Or you drive down to it (1/2 mile). Giant Springs is the largest natural spring in the world, I heard, but the Roe River, once the shortest river in the world may have been dethroned. The park around Giant Springs is great for picnicking, and we love just watching the river rush by. There's a trout hatchery next to the park, and it's fun to see how little fry become big fish. You can pay to feed them, so it's fun for little ones. Great Falls is a grid, so getting around is easy. All the streets are clearly marked, and the main roads are accessible even during construction. My favorite Western Wear shop is Hoglund's downtown. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is genuinely happy to help. They have a lot of boots and hats as well as clothing and accessories. I walked out with gorgeous cowboy boots that were comfortable from the start--not easy with this type of footwear, and they cleaned my son's Stetson for free, just because it was dusty. Truly my favorite store for that stuff.

I was born and raised in Great Falls so it was a nostalgic visit for me. I enjoyed revisiting the dams and driving around town to see what had changed. We also drove to the mountains which were close enough for a day trip.

The entire stay was a pleasant surprise. They had complimentary Dinner Monday-Wednesday and the Wednesday meal that we arrived for wad outstanding. The room was enormous, and was a great value. We especially liked the option of the kitchen area. The Breakfasts were absolutely full service, with something different cooked each morning along with the regular breakfast staples. I will be staying at the Staybridge from this point forward anytime I travel to Great Falls.

Travelodge by Wyndham Great Falls has a very good location, just on the Central Street. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is under renovations, so, lots of workers around, and no hall or living room. No breakfast place as well. Bedroom is very humble, worth the money but very simple. They need to work little better on the quality of linens and towels.

Yes, first the bathroom and bed had old hair in it. Secondly the power went out the the last night and I needed to catch a flight and the hotel couldn't not accommodate charging my phone or even telling me when the power will be restored. I had to relocate to another hotel. An they charged me extra for checking out early. All around terrible experience.

The staff were great , the place was great, although the placement of the hotel was a bit off the beaten track. There was a water issue that cause a bit of inconvenience. What can you do? Things break. The hair dryer was a mystery to make it function. The staff was great to come to my room and explain how to reset it. Breakfast was good .

Every time we stay in great falls Montana, we stay at the Heritage Inn . The staff are always very friendly, rooms are always clean. The pool is nice and warm, I can bring my baby in there. The location is somewhat central. It is a bit of a stretch to target, and the outdoor waterpark, otherwise it’s close to Walmart, the gas station etc.

This is a rarity in the USA, a genuinely historic city hotel, which made a change from run of the mill highway motels. The building is really interesting and its conversion to a hotel imaginative. We had an excellent meal in the attached pub. It was definitely the hotel highlight of our trip.
