The Temple Theatre is a must, a great old venue with a lot of character. The Castle Museum/Historical Society of Saginaw County is another beautiful site to see with a lot of history. Tony's Italian Restaurant on Gratiot or State St have exceptional Italian food. Most of the streets are north/south or east/west oriented so not difficult to move about Saginaw. I wish more of the old downtown area was being brought back to life.

We stayed in Saginaw because all reasonably priced accommodations in nearby Frankenmuth were already booked. We were heading there for their Bavarian Fest. Saginaw was a drivable distance option, and we didn’t spend much time there. We did, however take in the Saginaw Castle, which is an historic post office converted into a beautifully executed local history museum. Quite impressive.

This place was a catfish hotel.
This place was a catfish hotel. When arriving I saw local vagrants all around. The neighborhood is sketchy, and the whole hotel was dirty. Room was filthy, bedding was scratchy and smelled horrible. If you like clean spaces, do not go here.

Overcharged me $50 right from the beginning and then staff argued with me saying they couldn’t do anything about it. Wanted to swim but pool was down. Thought they had a hot tub but they did not. Ice machines were also all broke

Hotel was not prepared to feed an influx of guests so on the morning of July 13, food was out at 7:30. We never got to talk to a manager and no compensation was offered. We had to go out and buy breakfast for my 92 yea old mother-in-law. On the 14th there was sufficient and good food for breakfast.
The location is great and plenty of good shopping and restaurants nearby.
Booked a extra night just to enjoy the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is closed the pool was dirty and cold. No towel in pool area for 2 days until we asked then they brought actual bath floor mat towel. Paint falling off ceiling in room. Bed dust ruffle nasty dirty. Won’t be back
Location is accessible to everything Saginaw has to offer, including smooth interstate access!
Hotel has a few minor issues, but they switched out our room no hassle at all. Every morning there was a decent breakfast selection, rooms were clean and staff went above and beyond
There were no forks at all in the place. I didn’t eat sausage with a spoon. I’ve been to third world countries an had a better experience at a hotel.Don’t book mr a room one day and then email me and ask if I want a better room for 30.00 more.
Country setting. It was close get to M-46 where I needed to go get across the river in Saginaw to my benefit concert at The Vault. The next day I went south to The Outlets at Birch Run, probably just over 10 miles away.
Clean room and halls Great staff in breakfast especially Sero? not sure of his name polite and very helpful and food very good hot and tasty Staff were polite but needed to explain to us ahead as stated
Breakfast was just ok. Beautiful Main building but unfortunately our reservation was messed up and got a room in ”guesthouse” which was not very nice! Personel did their best.
Very friendly and accommodating desk personnel. Location was very good for our needs. Pet friendly. Price unbeatable. Quiet. Microwave and fridge in room.
