Petoskey is incredibly picturesque. It's also very busy with a great deal of traffic, but it flows well. We were one mile from downtown, which is full of historic buildings. We had an early dinner at the City Park Grill, which was amazing. Petoskey is also a very clean city and although a famous tourist destination, we didn't feel it was overly crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Super darling place to visit, didn't want to leave.
Super darling place to visit, didn't want to leave. I could live there year round, thanks to the beauty and the beaches. Shopping is great with so many places to visit. Locals were very friendly.

Although the weather went from rainy and dull to blizzard in two days, it’s clear that
Petoskey can be a wonderful destination. Shopping, wineries and dining choices are close by and abundant. The Petoskey Farms Winery, City Park Grill and the Mitchell Street Pub were our favorites.

This is a great small town in the water with lots of options the Apple Tree Inn is quiet (we were on the top floor) but honestly the bed was so incredibly comfortable and we are picky!!
The free breakfast was adequate with lots of options for the size of the Inn.
The water is beautiful with a view from your room with a balcony very peaceful and a free limousine offered from the Inn! Can’t beat that!
Getting around town is pretty easy with quaint shops downtown with good quality.
We ate at a local place and food was good and had a BC pizza which was good as well.
I will return to petoskey again. 😊

We were exploring places in our state that we hadn't been to before. Petoskey was one of the places. We drove around and looked at the sights. We also went to a couple beaches to look for Petoskey stones. Other than that, we didn't really see anything that we wanted to do or any other places we wanted to go to.
We have decided to visit again sometime soon and bring our young grandson who is a "rock connoisseur" for a day of rock hunting.

Petoskey is a beautiful town on the waters for Northern Michigan. The town just blocks away from the Days Inn is quaint and loaded with restaurants and bars featuring everything from coffee and breakfasts to bars and pubs.
Tried to cancel room as I got sick and then got called to Ohio for a funeral. They had adequate time for the cancellation, the Appletree Inn refused to refund, didn't even offer a different date of reservation. Then to find out when we went to the motel to try to figure it out (yes the next week, we where there in person) the desk clerk was simple, and could not figure out the computer, and it's not even on the water... Like as started online! We will not stay at a motel/hotel that represents themselves as something they are NOT!
The room was clean and nice. Jacuzzi large enough for two was nice. Bed was comfortable. The room was quiet-no footsteps from above or loud voices from the hallway or "neighbors". Breakfast offerings were eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, cereals, muffins, fruit, etc. It was good.
The hotel is close to everything. Shopping, wine tasting, casino, tunnel of trees, beautiful area to visit.
The breakfast was great each morning we were there. The staff was professional, polite and friendly. We had dinner there one evening and the food was excellent, The community the hotel is located in has a long history. You can walk down the steps, down the sidewalk and over the overpass and you are setting on the beach. Beautiful sunsets is an understatement.
The property is situated well to be able to enjoy Petoskey, the wineries or skiing. It was clean but very dated. Don’t know if the odd smell was from their cleaning products or mold under the carpet. The carpet did need cleaning. We bought Febreeze to be able to tolerate the odor.
This hotel is fantastic. So comfortable, rooms are very clean. Pool and hot tub was clean. The free breakfast included with the room was amazing, I loved the view outside in the back. Everything was just wonderful. When we visit that area again it will be courtyard !
We had easy access to town and to the lake. We really enjoyed the outside seating area with the fire pit and the fireplace.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful.
A good value stay to visit Petoskey. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. The complimentary limo service into town is a HUGE plus!
This was a quaint little inn with an awesome view. The owner was wonderful, friendly, interested in our travels and very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.
