Staff was friendly. Location on the highway, but in a small town traffic is pretty non existant after a certain time, so no issues with road noise.

Very clean room and friendly staff. The pool area was clean and operational. There was also a nice patio area with fire pits, however, the weather did not permit us to enjoy.
Breakfast had a good variety of selections that even my kids found food to enjoy.

Estherville is a small community college town without a lot...
Estherville is a small community college town without a lot to do or restaurants to eat at. There are just a few that are worthwhile, like Woody's Pizza. I can't imagine staying here for very long since there are not a lot of things to do. It is a quaint town with nice people, but that is the extent of needing to come here.

We only stayed 2 nights and technically didn't get to room...
We only stayed 2 nights and technically didn't get to room until 1am on Tuesday morning. Left Wednesday morning but paid Monday night and Tuesday night. My oldest son found a used dirty pad in the ice machine. Which was disgusting 🤢
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms was clean, pool was nice but cold, hot tub was extremely foamy and like Luke warm bath water. Bath tubs in rooms was tiny. So much so I couldn't barley wash myself, not much room in them at all. Breakfast.... It was ok, not best. It was like someone cut up sausage links into 3 or 4 smaller pieces/ bite sized. They didn't put many biscuits or gravy in the crockpots. Eggs n bacon or eggs bacon and sausage would have been a better option. Yogurts had a horrible after taste. Vending machines was ok except for the sandwich/ice cream vending machine it kept getting items stuck so you had to purchase more items if you wanted 1 item and front desk couldn't do anything about it. Beds was just ok. Pull out couch you could feel all the hard stuff under it, so that wasn't the greatest. Didn't like being on the 3rd floor . Was already worn out from a almost 10 hour drive to estherville Iowa. The elevator was scary. So we used the stairs for the most part. Up n down 3 flights of stairs was kinda rough. Work out room/gym was super small. Only fit 2 ppl 3 would be pushing it. However for the time and mostly sleeping it was ok for the money. Would have loved softer beds, not so lumpy pillows and bigger towels. We also had our kids swimming and there was a group of like 20 yrs. Who was vaping in hot tub. So was a little upset about that, because my youngest son is asthmatic. All in all could have been better, but I did love how they had a coffee bar right by front desk, they also had hot chocolate and teas which was very nice. Again ppl who I in counter their/ worked their was Super friendly.

Well what I recommend is DON'T USE BOOKING. COM.
Well what I recommend is DON'T USE BOOKING. COM. I had to cancel my stay and yet to hear from either about getting my money back. Booking. Com told me to call the property and the property told me to call Booking.com?!? Confusing to say the least!!!!! Not sure I recommend EITHER! I had 2 funerals to attend and that's why I had to cancel. 1 of the funerals was a person I was going to go visit... she passed the day before!
The staff were incredibly friendly. I was a a few minutes early and they didn't say anything about that. They showed me where the ice machine and other amenities were and admitted that the hotel was undergoing renovation so I was getting moved from a queen size bed to a king.
I stayed here and got to listen to the people in the room next to mine very loudly have sex 3 times in the 13 hours I was at this hotel. The TV didn't work so I couldn't even drown it out. I had a 7 and 10 year old with me. I called the front desk and nothing was done.
Staff was excellent and very accommodating. The brunch each day was very good and the selection was excellent. For the area the price for a room was great with close access to the Iowa Great Lakes but not at the Lakes inflated hotel prices!
We loved the breakfast. We brought fresh fruit for our waffles and our breakfast was perfect. The hotel was quiet early in the evening, which we liked. The staff was very informative and answered all the questions when we asked them.
The breakfast was very good. The hotel was very clean looking. Rooms have upgraded since our last stay here. Have stayed here several times through the years, this was one of the best stays.
Estherville Hotel appeared to be recently renovated. I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality updates. The room was spotless upon check-in. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff, comfortable beds, variety of items for breakfast. Property was well kept and clean. Easy to find with plenty of shopping and restaurants close by.
The room was very clean, beds were comfortable. I slept very well. The breakfast room is very organized and clean typical hotel breakfast can't complain.
