Ružomberok is an old industrial town in northern Slovakia (during communist times is was famous for the foul smell from its industries), and a place you still have to drive through because the expressway avoiding the city has not been opened yet...and during my visit this meant chaos with three hours waiting time because of another road reconstruction work... However, there are great possibilities for skiing close to the city and a pair of museums (but aside of that not too much to attract visitors)... The beer from its first micro-brewery, Ursus, is unfortunately also nothing to write home about.

We were going to ski. The snow was good . We were relatively lucky with the weather. The sloops were short for us but we enjoyed . The apartmant is 100 meters close to the lift. We didn't have time to see the city but nature was amazing.

I really enjoy Ruzomberok, been there twice now for sightseeing. It is a peaceful, quiet mountain town, supposedly offering all sorts of hiking and skiing opportunities. Not being a person who engages in those too much, the town is still an excellent place to relax and take your mind off of your everyday life.

The town centre is rather compact, the services and variaty of shops are slowly improving, shame not all the staff speak English and some are lacking manners especially restaurant at hotel Kultura - sorry to say this but the staff was a bit miserable! Some of the buildings need more work. The town has got a great potential but it is not utilised properly.
Very friendly and helpfull staff, good location, nice and clean room. The host answered all questions, recommended the best restaurants, routes and places to visit. There is free parking in the street near the hotel and also payable parking in the teritory of hotel. The breakfast was very nice and tasty. I recommend this place to anyone looking for peace.
The rooms were reasonably spacious, with a television available, in a quiet location 5 minutes from Ružomberok. The bathroom was clean, and everything was provided. The landlady was very kind and gave us advice on various trips in the area. Breakfast was great, there was nothing to complain about, everything was available even when you came later.
The apartment is located in the best part of Ruzomberok. It was very clear, with nice furnitures, and pretty well equipped kitchen. The host was very kind and flexible, and always helped us instantly. We were completely satisfied and we highly recommend to choose this accommodation if you want to visit this place! :)
A small house located in the village of Likavka, 20-25 minutes walk from the center of Ruzomberok. Hosts were nice, even though they hardly spoke any English. The house boasts a very pleasant garden, a kitchen (we didn't use it) and a gaming room.
Everything basic but adequate, and very good location next door to the ropeway. Not a place to go to for a romantic getaway, but if you need a place to crash during a ski holiday, or when passing through Ružomberok, this place is for you!
Veru pleasant staff, nice room, good kitchen with kettle and microoven. Great location near Tesco and rather close to Malinô brdo. Good breakfast for 5 eur. Nice and cozy restaurant. Reserved parking for hotel visitors.
Great apartment near Ruzomberok. Spacious sleeping area, comfortable beds. The host is super nice and sweet. Great value for money and feels like home.
