Probably good for beginners (less than 3 trips). Anything more and you’ll be bored after a day. Resprt is dreadful - like Blackpool on ice. No atmosphere, just bars, average restaurants and limited skiing. A Small friendly resort. Good bars and restaurants, friendly staff. A great atmosphere. Ski instructors were very efficient, took their time with skiers Lift queues moved quickly, lift staff helpful and patient. A really well managed resort, no big egos, everyone seems to help each other. Ski Hire at Samarkand was very well organised

Borovets is a great place for families looking for a ski...
Borovets is a great place for families looking for a ski vacation. It's not to hard to get to from Sofia airport. Just 77 minutes away from the airport. The town felt safe and quiet even at night ( at least where we stayed). It has a green slope which is ideal for beginners. The blue and green slopes are right next to each other. This enabled me to see my daughter ski on the blue slope while I used the easier green slope which was too easy for her. The lift is safe and efficient. The slopes are wide enough to accommodate all the skiers without feeling too crowded. There are lots of good options for ski lessons and equipment. Personally I recommend Ollie Moly Ski school and rental. One piece of advice: don't change money to BGN in the airport. You get a much better rate by changing in Borovets. There are plenty of change stores in the town. The town is very close to the ski slopes. There are plenty of places to buy foodTzviaIsrael - 10Scored 10

Beautiful slopes and lots of chairs available high on the mountains. It is however extremely crowded at the bottom gondola. It opens at 8:30 but at that time the queue is already very long and it's going slowly. We spent almost 45-60 mins staying in the queue at the bottom gondola. Also, the closing time is 4:30 PM. We would have expected that during Febr when the day is longer that they will be open much later than that.

Slopes were not well maintained, especially after it snowed overnight. They would become bumpy quickly after start of the day. Lifts timinings are also stange - cabin starts at 8 am, while Yastrebec Express at 8:30, so if one wants to go up - you have to wait very long time at Mid Station. I think it would be a great idea to leave 2 or 3 cabins empty, every now and then, so people waiting at mid statuon can board quicker.

The resort has seen better days.
The resort has seen better days. As a native from Bulgaria we can see the hordes of people hitting the slopes during the winter(when we visit) and if you plan to visit during the weekend - don't, you will ruin your experience. We are talking about 20minute waits on lifts, no space to walk due to lack of parking spaces to handle the traffic load and so. Week days are still calm and you can actually enjoy it. Another tip - if you want to eat, go to the near by town Samokov(5min drive) instead of eating on the slopes. It costs as much as 50% less and the food is better.Atanas KBulgaria

One thing I particularly appreciated about the Euphoria Club Hotel was that I did not experience any problems with the sofa in my room, which can sometimes be an issue in hotels. The sofa was comfortable and in good condition, which made it a great place to relax after a long day of skiing. Staff was kind and helpful. In each day the room was cleaned, towels were changed if needed and we did not had any worries about the warmthness. Hotel is situated in a quiet zone of Borovets, don’t expect to have a 2 minute walk to the center. Fridge in room worked well, so well in fact it froze our water when we turned it up. Staff very nice and helpful, especially the barman. Breakfast and dinner both good. Group of 12 and everyone found something they liked to eat.

My sons enjoy the swimming pool, the food in the restaurant is delicious, the breakfast has a great variety and the service is fantastic. We normally stay in a chalet, which is a great experience. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. The hotel also has a playground. My wife enjoys the spa a lot. There are nice hiking trails in the area. It's one of our most favourites hotels in Bulgaria.

The host is very nice and prompt when you write on whatsapp. The apartment is very child friendly. I totally recommend it and definitely will rent it again when we go to Borovets next time.
