We had lovely homemade ice creams from a shop in the centre. We also had a meal at Pizzerija Crna Ovca which was set in a quiet location with outdoor seating. The beers and pizzas were great as was the service. Would highly recommend both. We did a 2-2.5 hour walk on the edge of Bovec which started near the gondola station/ spar shop roundabout. We planned a stay for skiing, however, the Slovenian part of the Kanin - Sella Nevea ski resort was closed without clear and well-communicated notice - just the sentence "Kanin ski resort will not operate in the winter season 2023/24." on the official website https://www.kanin.si/en/... We were forced to travel daily to the Italian part of the resort (35 km each way with about 100 curves on the road). And just half of the combined resort in Italy was too small for us. Problems might happen, but the communication from the Slovenian authorities was pure.

Canyoning is extraordinary experience.
Canyoning is extraordinary experience. Very nice place to visit and swim in Velika Korita and Lepena. Take a drive-up Slovenia's highest road to reach the base of the mighty Mangart mountain, a perfect hike to get the high elevation views without the 1000+ meter climb.MartinaCzech Republic - 10Scored 10

Bovec is a perfect location for people who like trekking, hiking and adventures holidays. Soca with its amazing colour gives fun and treat. Don't miss a rafting! Try yota, the local soup! Bus service in the mountains operates quite well!

Loved our stay here. Difficult to get here without a car- long bus ride and limited services but manageable. 3 days is enough here. There are so many activities available in the Summer, we did zip lining, white water rafting and canyoning. The locals were all so helpful and friendly. Gorgeous location and everything reasonably priced.

Bovec is always a great place to stay.
Bovec is always a great place to stay. With its natural backdrop it is beautiful in any time of the year and a great starting point to many outdoor adventures - skiing, hiking, cycling, zip lining, canyoning, paragliding and much more. The locals are friendly and full of good ideas what to do in their town. The only down side is lack of good restaurant options during the week in the off-season :(JericaSlovenia

We loved the space with a nice living room, great kitchen that is super well equipped, and the bedrooms that are spacious and with confortable beds. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings meanwhile we could walk to the center of the village with great restaurants, cafés and some concerts for new year's eve. We are also located nearby the skislopes of Kanin which was also a great plus. We also appreciated very much the welcome bottle of wine and chocolates.SanneItaly

It has everything that we need for vacations. Kitchen is very well equipped, bed is comfy, furniture is modern , looks like custom made. Everything has done with attention to details. Apartment is clean and cozy View from balcony is very nice. 2 big supermarkets and gas station just across the street - very convenient location. We will be happy to stay there again!

Good location in between the mountains, great amenities, nice and quiet, very clean and modern, nice breakfast, ... Host was very friendly too. I have no complaints about our stay. Nothing beats sleeping out in the open air! Especially with the hot weather it's very nice that the tents cool down quickly once the sun sets. Haven't slept so good in days.
