It is older facility. The room was very clean and neatly kept. The only issue I had was I couldn't get the shower to work. The hot water was great so I settled for a bath. I will stay again if I know the shower works. Even though it is on the main street I didn't notice much traffic. Yet I get up early before that usually happens. It is few blocks from restaurants and so on. Still it was nice. I enjoyed the clean room. I travel and I have been in worse even with popular chain hotels. So stop and enjoy.
Quesnel is a picturesque, quaint, cozy little nest egg.
Quesnel is a picturesque, quaint, cozy little nest egg. I would have been happy to stay overnight there but the road conditions were not in my favour and I didn't want to mow down any deer in the dark...oh dear! I picked up my new puppy there and we walked around the little treasure of a downtown...stopped in and had the best coffee at the quaintest little jewel of a German coffee shop...mein deutsch ist nicht zehr gute...nor my memory but Quesnel was memorable for me! I wish I had caught the Remembrance Day ceremony but I kinda got lost in the charm. Sir Emersyn the 3rd misses his home town but we will visit again!

They advertised a free breakfast, but it did not actually have one. I was called at the last moment to tell me that. They blamed it on COVID, but I do not feel that excuse is justified. Everywhere else in BC, they have continued with the free breakfast programs.

We were visiting family that had recently moved to Quesnel so only stayed there 2 nights/one full day. Next time we will stay at least 2 - 3 days longer and take in the beautiful provincial parks that are close by (Pinnacle, Ten Mile Lake, etc.) and Barkerville. We would also enjoy more of the great eateries/brew pubs (this really is a foodie town) and shops we found while out walking our dog. Quesnel is a very "walkable" place, easy to get around and here are lots of points of interests/City parks within Quesnel that we did not have the opportunity to see/would definitely take in next time.

Quesnel comes with mixed feelings: the lodging can be expensive and the lack of restaurants on a Monday night a problem
The good thing is the museum , not to be missed at the tourism information center.

From Fort St.
From Fort St. John Quesnel was about 6 and a half hours drive. Long enough for one day. During a pandemic it is hard to figure out where it is safe to eat. Most restaurants are south of town. I will drive to one of them next time through Quesnel.

Staff and locals are super friendly and helpful.
Staff and locals are super friendly and helpful. We were not all that impressed with the dining experience. We did enjoy both our dining experiences at Mr Mike's. We did visit during Stage 3, so our options were rather limited.
This is the old style “Motor Hotel” with exterior room entrances located in an industrial area, but don’t judge a book by its cover, this place is a gem. Staff was helpful and accommodating, room was beautifully updated, squeaky clean and fresh smelling (it was even a pet friendly room). Ample parking for a large Uhaul with trailer. It’s also an RV park, so there is a little playground and large lawn out back. Lobby/ Breakfast decor reminded me of an upscale B&B, the room had a nice fridge and bed felt like a cloud.

The location was great and close to our jobsite. The accommodation was not a Ritz but was a good value fir the money. The owner seems to continuously renovate. He also has chairs and tables as well as barbeques in front of the units. We did not have a carpet flooring like people mentioned before but lino planks. It is close to the highway but most of the hotels in Quesnel are. We actually had a really good sleep.
I love the westernish ambiance of the room, really made me feel I was on a paddle boat....🤣🤣. Extremely clean and the bed was SOOOOO comfortable, I swear. Can't believe this gem is in the heart of Quesnel. Casino too if you're into that. I'm not but who cares!!!! Really close to the strip, kinda like First Ave Mission, B.C. Had a great stay. Would definately stay again. So reasonably priced.
The property is very well-kept and clean. It’s the cleanest motel I’ve experienced. The owner/front desk guy is friendly and helpful. You can tell he cares about the property and in turn, this made our stay feel safe and comfortable. (I was single mom with two girls and I had no problems). I would stay here again if I visit Quesnel again.
Friendly, helpful Owner's/Management. Simple, clean and nicely appointed rooms. Fantastically cozy beds. Accessible to town. Despite being located right on BC Hwy 97 the room was very quiet. Great overnight passing through Hotel. Very accommodating for the Bike. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was horrible. Started with a very rude lady at the front desk.
The rooms were dirty, smelled really really bad. The furniture was stained and ripped. We did not stay. We were in quesnel for my dad's celebration of life and had to find another place to stay at the last minute.
Very nice hotel with a casino. Guest room were nice and clean. Very very friendly and helpful staff. My wife gambled in the casino and brought home more money than what she spent. The town is also very nice with many things to look at and several good restaurants.
The casino is in the middle of town and downtown shopping (if you are into that) starts a half a block away. If you are into entertainment, there is the hotel, the lounge, the restaurant and the casino. It will be hard not to find something of interest.
Bed was comfortable, linens and towels were clean. WiFi was good, and there was a a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Satisfactory for a one night stay, given the price. Hotel is centrally located in downtown Quesnel.
Highly recommend this hotel. Staff super nice. They let us do a late check out so my family didn't have to freeze while I was working. Room is large with a complete kitchen. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is great
The manager was so incredibly kind and accommodating. The rooms are definitely old, but they weren't bad. Overall it met the expectations of an older roadside hotel but the service made it great.
