I have already reviewed this property as 'Kangaroo".

I have already reviewed this property as 'Kangaroo". The owner's response is a total lie .... - it wasn't hot weather. - we NEVER left the fridge open - the 3/4 hour of check in drill was excessive and unnecessary, as were the endless written instructions placed all around the unit. - Susan became quite annoyed after she told me we must not raise the blind over the main viewing window, and I told her we WOULD be opening the blind in order to enjoy this much promoted view of the mountains, as this was the main reason we selected this property. - we were helpful in alerting the owners to the structural cause of some of the issues requiring special care instructions, such as leaking from the shower and the kitchen drainboard. - stay here only if if you are happy to abide by 100s of rules.

    The hotel was dirty.

The hotel was dirty. The bathroom was noisy as the light and fan have the same switch. Aircon was rusty and did not work. The kitchen was awkwardly designed as the single bed was blocking the door. You have to move the bed to access the kitchen. It was very expensive for a very basic dilapidated motel. We were stuck so we had to stay there. Will recommend to anyone, unless you absolutely stuck.

The town is well located and very quiet. It takes about half an hour to drive to Lake Joffer. However, there are not many restaurants and scenic spots, so it can be used as a temporary rest place when passing through here.

Beautiful British Columbia mountain town embraced by heavy forest, plenty of lakes, astounding birdlife (for the bird lovers) and overlooked by the staggeringly handsome snow-capped Mount Currie. "Downtown" has a resort feel to it, without being too showy, and the food scene was diverse and truly good. We loved The Beer Farmers, Town Square Restaurant, and Blackbird Bakery. The Pony Restaurant was okay (food was a little underwhelming).

Only had one night in town to reconnect with some old friends. Ate at the Town Square restaurant on the main street, which was awesome and busy... really good food. We were out in the patio but it sounded like they had a groovy (and loud!) live music scene inside, too. Draft beer on tap was locally brewed and excellent. After spending the previous day in the highly yuppified Whistler village, we really enjoyed the local down-to-earth ambience in Pemberton!

We really enjoyed hiking around Pemberton, and going to a couple of lakes close by. There are some very good restaurants in Pemberton, which we also enjoyed. We could walk or hike without using our car, but did drive to Lake Birkenhead, which was lovely. We also stopped in Whistler on our way to and from Pemberton, which was great as well.
