Love North Vancouver and the proximity to the mountains, North Vancouver areas and the beautiful views.
There are many places that could be visited, but I prefer to go further North or East, if not downtown Vancouver.
The traffic over Lions Gate bridge at Rush Hour is terrible, and recommend travelling in a different time if possible.

The house is new and clean.
The house is new and clean. Owner (Michael) is so nice, you can socialize with him pleasantly. The place's view is amazing. Water is running 7x24 in the river stream, which you can see from your rooms.
North Vancouver is for people loving outdoor activities such as hiking and going to beaches. The house is not far (15-minute driving) from the downtown of Vancouver.

For a quick staycation we had friends coming from the island as well as the valley and decided North Van would be a good middle distance. We had few expectations and assumed we would be shopping and sipping drinks with good friends. It turned out that it was very easy to get around between sea bus to down town and bussing up to the parks. The shipyards area and lower lonsdale is rich with great little stores and non-chain restaurants which was such a treat.

I've stayed here numerous times before and was surprised to be booked in a very small basement bedroom . There was no air conditioning in the room but only an open basement window. Not impressed considering the number of previous bookings. Otherwise the facilities met with our previous expectations. lovely view and great kitchen facilities with several breakfast options.

North Vancouver is a lovely area just across the bay from Downtown Vancouver. Easy access across the bay via the regular ferry gives you the best of everything. North Vancouver seems a nice safe neighbourhood with a nice choice of bars and restaurants. You also have easy access to the hills and mountains where there are some great walks and stunning scenery.

We chose it because we have family in the area but they do not have space to put us up.
Having been many times since 1997 there are few places we have not visited. This time chose to visit Grouse Mountain again and Deep Cove. Went to the Shipyards on a Friday evening and dined at the Tap and Barrel.
The bus services are excellent.

I used to live in North Van and was visiting an old friend passing through Vancouver. Especially compared to downtown hotels, this was great value. It's older, but perfectly clean and comfortable. The room was quite small, but that hardly mattered being alone. I just used Seabus to get over to Vancouver, added a great little cruise to my stay.
Hotel is ideal for a 1 or 2 night stop over. Basic but functional is the best way we can describe it with a small pool area which we didn’t use as we only stayed for 1 night. Clean and tidy with good parking facilities. Area seemed more work orientated that touristy so not too many restaurants etc within easy walking distance.
Check-in was easy and safe. The room was cozy, too, and the shower and toiletries were pleasant. I very much like how close the hotel was to the main drive yet still quiet. It's also quite close the Trans-Canada Highway 1, which is great if you're driving either into North Vancouver or out east.
Located in a peaceful area at North Vancouver and near to some tourist attraction in North Vancouver (Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse mountain).
Easy to travel by bus since the bus stop very close to Hotel. Breakfast was okay.
From some room there is partial mountain view.
Extremely nice and clean accommodation in North Vancouver in a nice and cozy neighbourhood. We also had a beautiful view over Vancouver. We enjoyed a self-made breakfast with a large selection of cereals, fruit and fresh bagels. All in all i can highly recommend this place.
The location - it is right in the middle of of the shipyards with so much to do. the restaurant and bar at the hotel were great (food and drinks were very good and they had a nice happy hour!) The king room and bathroom were of good size. Good pillows.
This is a nice mini house in the back yard. It has a full kitchen, a big sofa bed for rest/watching tv and a bedroom. The house locates on a quite neighborhood. Not far from tourist attractions in north Vancouver. House host Margaret is very friendly.
Was hard to find. The name of the hotel was not displayed anywhere that I could see. I drove by three times and then called the hotel and was still difficult. Parking meter was not working, lobby was nice, sent me in the wrong direction to my room
The room was nice and comfortable. The bed was good along with the bathroom and toiletries. Location was great and perfect for exploring by the waterfront, quays and local restaurants and shops. The car park under the hotel was very convenient.
It's a hostel run in private house in North Vancouver,. It has 8 rooms with 2 shared showers and 2 washrooms which was ok when only 4 rooms were occupied. Kitchen is big and has all needed.
Great property - would have happily lived in it :-) - well stocked, super clean and very comfortable. location is great for North Vancouver, particularly as we wanted to visit Lynn Valley
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in North Vancouver and fabulous view of Vancouver and English Bay. Nice large bright kitchen area available for all guests to use.
