Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

Nelson has many well preserved buildings from the mid 1800s

It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

Stunning little city with independent shops and eateries all within a couple of blocks. The river walk to the park and beach was lovely. Even the scenery from the car journey to get to Nelson was fabulous!

Nice little town.
Nice little town. Historic downtown with shops and restaurants, some of them open till late at night. Beautiful beaches close by. Taghum Beach, Six mile beach (with white sand -careful do not go and swim on the tip of the beach!), Kokanee Creek Provincial Park Beach are the most beautiful.
This is our second stay at the adventure hotel. It's a fun bright place with good sized roms with funky fresh decor. Beds are comfy and washrooms bright and clean. It's a bit like a hybrid hostel/ hotel experience so great for families/ couples or singles travelling alone wanting to meet new friends. Great location, friendly staff, and commons room for making your meals is something we are seeing more of in new or renovated hotels like this. Think Fernie Fox, or Dorothy motel in Banff.
This hotel has beautiful facilities and a great location. The rooms are well appointed, and the rooftop is fantastic with great seating, picnic tables, a hot tub and mats and space for yoga. It was a great place for a family gathering. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The place is super pet friendly. All round it was a wonderful stay and place for a family gathering.
Location was walking distance (if you’re in decent shape) to the Baker st. with all the shops and restaurants you could want. The room was well equipped to cook a meal, just enough space for 2, with two windows on either side to let air flow. Clean and safe. Small bbq area accessible to hotels guests that we didn’t use but would be very useful.
Super comfortable and relaxed. Felt like staying in your own place away from home. Great location and parking. Warm. Recycling. The fully fledged kitchen in the room was ideal for when we wanted to make dinner at home. If I'm back I'm Nelson I will try to stay here again .
An absolute gem of a place in Nelson. Tucked away in the corner but an easy walk into town and lovely surroundings. Couldn't have felt more welcome. Very well stocked and has everything you need. We were four staying there and we felt like we had plenty of space.
The space was beautiful. I was quoted a price on the website, but it ended up being cheaper when I went to go pay for my reservation at the hotel. Fantastic location, I walked everywhere I needed to go the entire time. Will definitely stay again if I'm in Nelson!
The space was clean and very well equipped. Maria was great, lots of information about what to do and places to hike etc. The loft was a very comfortable as the bed was less soft than the main floor bed. Great views of Nelson and the mountains around.
I loved this hotel. The location was close to the centre of town for our two day stay, and right round the corner from Osso Negro, a great coffee and breakfast place, I felt like I was as welcome as at a good friend's place.
The location of this hotel is excellent - we walked all around downtown Nelson and felt we got to know the city a bit after 4 days. The Hume is a clean, beautiful historic hotel with attentive staff.
The location is convenient, and the hostel has good kitchen and all the necessary amenities. The staff are great. This hostel is the most affordable place not only in Nelson, but in the whole area.
location was awesome! we were there for the car show and able to get up early and park the car and walk back to hotel or anywhere we needed to go! highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The rooms were clean, and the beds were perfect. They even had electric bicycles available for guests.
Loved everything about Cloudside, charming, comfortable hotel in an old (but updated) home, perfect location, wonderful owner/staff. We’d definitely stay again.
