Nelson has great character.
Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

Nelson has many well preserved buildings from the mid 1800s It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

nelson is a very friendly town, it has all the amenities you might need. there are a lot of patios and lots of shopping options on baker street. the beach area is nice and sandy and has a great little concession! if you have time stop by there DQ! im sure its the oldest one around.

Nelson is a great place to get some exercise by just walking everywhere up and down the hills to get a view of the town and surrounding area from Gyro Park, or hike up to Pulpit Rock, Nelson has a great waterside park with a great beach, kayak rentals etc

Nice little town.
Nice little town. Historic downtown with shops and restaurants, some of them open till late at night. Beautiful beaches close by. Taghum Beach, Six mile beach (with white sand -careful do not go and swim on the tip of the beach!), Kokanee Creek Provincial Park Beach are the most beautiful.

Also a small sitting out area for each room downstairs (but directly onto the car park) and a balcony upstairs. Plenty of parking spaces and an overflow one on the otherside of the railway line. The sister hotel about 10 minutes walk away has a good restaurant for evening meals and breakfasts. Liked the optional $10 voucher to use in the sister hotel's restaurant as a thanks for 'Green' usage: i.e. not having room service when we stayed.

It makes me really feel like I am in a town with character as this property has so much character. Nelson is a cool town and it is my Home town. I am glad these owners have kept it vintage but updated all at once. I will probably always stay here and I always suggest it to anyone going to the wonderful town of Nelson. :)

Very clean bedding and room that seems to have been renovated recently. Newer and very quiet fridge that doesn't make awful noise at night... We had a great sleep.

The room is nicely furnished and modern. The staff were great and the check-in/out process was very easy. Very nice owner who was happy to let us check in when we arrived three hours early. There’s a small restaurant, open only 3.30 pm - 8.00 pm, but a few tables outside overlooking the lake.
