Great cozy village with awesome restaurants and cafés.
Great cozy village with awesome restaurants and cafés. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Something to do for everyone. Winter or Summer there's plenty of outdoor activities. Or just relax and spend some time at the Nordic Spa nearby. The Wakefield Mill is a great place to listen to some live jazz music on Saturdays by the fireplace. The scenery is breathtaking no matter where you go in that area. Highly recommend visiting this wonderful peace of heaven.

We enjoyed walking on the river-side path, having coffee at the Molo Cafe, visiting the covered bridge, the cemetery where Lester B. Pearson is buried and the former mill. The restaurant that we enjoyed the most was Le Hibou. The main street was full of potholes and on the weekend the traffic was one-lane-at-a-time. Hopefully, that is no longer the case.

We loved this little village.
We loved this little village. We were sad to see that the steam train no longer exists. However, the village turned the train tracks into a pedestrian walkway. It followed the river and made it a pleasant walk across the village. The covered bridge and information center were great in giving a bit of history of the area. They also have a small hike up the hill in the Hendrick Park where the covered bridge is situated. The village has cute little shops. The "Restaurant du village" offered an amazing dinner.

Beautiful & peaceful setting.
Beautiful & peaceful setting. Lovely hotel & so unique being on the waters edge including the unique waterfall.
Beds were extremely comfy and being located in the Eco River Side Building adjacent to the main building was unique as we were only steps from the rivers edge.
A breath taking outdoor pool surrounded by lovely gardens & trees and muskoka chairs at the rivers edge available for our morning coffee, were very nice touches.
The breakfast was so delicious and plentiful!! It was a very quiet location and even with other guests, the living area and rooms were quiet. The location was perfect for our trip which was a visit with friends near by.
The town of Wakefield offers hiking trails, kayaking/ canoe access and I believe rentals as well as a good selection of restaurants, a couple of bakery’s and some shopping.
We had dinner at Le Hibou and the food was delicious!
Clean and cozy bed and breakfast in beautiful Wakefield! Dawn is such a tentative and gracious host and makes you feel at home. Her property is a two minute walk to Riverside (the main street in town) and hiking trails are right behind the property, so it's the perfect location if you want to explore the town for a little getaway. Breakfast was fantastic and we loved all of the options available! Thanks again!
Rustic charm just a few minutes drive to Wakefield. Comfortable room with great amenities to keep you warm and toasty from the snow! We had access to the whole ground floor with kitchen, cosy fireplace, sofas aplenty and even a sauna! Host was charming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked. Great stay.
My wife, our little daughter and I enjoyed our lovely stay at Rate Auberge De Mon Petit Chum for the second time - a different room this time. Dawn's B&B is perfect stay in Wakefield, very quiet and peaceful.
We really appreciated Dawn's hospitality and will be back for sure!
The breakfasts were perfect too!
Thanks, Dawn!
Chris our host was very accommodating. We had everything we needed. Facilities were superb and so was our room. Breakfast was outstanding. Beautiful relaxing outdoor patio and conveniently located just 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa and minutes to the village of Wakefield QC for strolling and dining.
Dawn is an exceptional host, she made us feel home and catered with an amazing breakfast, even provided every equipment for an evening BBQ. The B&B is located in a quiet street with a trail just around the corner. Wakefield is a pretty little town with everything one would need.
Very characterful, both in the rooms and public areas. The dining experience was superb in both the main restaurant and bar areas. The location, right on the river, close to the Gatineau trails and walking distance of Wakefield is perfect if you like to get out and about.
Beautiful location, perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay. Dawn is very attentive to her guests. The food is amazing! Wakefield offers interesting wanders and gorgeous views. The town has many interesting walking trails, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants.
Lots of charm with the old timbers and wonderful arrangement of space both in room and common area.
The breakfast was delicious and location very close to Wakefield where we enjoyed valentines dinner the previous night.
The view is fabulous overlooking the waterfall. The sauna and hot tub access for all hotel guests is a lovely bonus although they didn't advertise that until we arrived.
The view and people are amazing. Great space and decoration! Love the private balcony! Very close to Wakefield's restaurants and water. Would return to explore more.😄
