We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.

The area is billed Courtney/ Comox and it was the comox area that was most inviting. Scenery, restaurants etc.
Locals Restaurant was probably one of the best restaurants and value we’ve been to in a long time.

Lovely town, incredibly clean and tidy with loads of outdoor activities in the area. We both said we would love to live here. The front desk staff were really helpful and made us feel at home. Thanks guys !
You have an entire house to yourself. The bed is incredible as is the huge patio with a tranquil view of a garden oasis. The kitchen is well stocked if you wish to cook, with access to a barbecue. We were on a busy schedule and our only regret was not having some time to enjoy this wonderful space. Bob and Sherry were welcoming and check in was a breeze. Tea, coffee, cream and filtered water provided. If in Courtenay again we will be staying here.
I arrived at the hotel after midnight
Very weary from traveling all day
The customer service was excellent
I was helped by the night clerk in getting my bags to my room
The room was very clean and comfortable
It is an older hotel but so clean and in excellent condition!
I will book by calling directly next time
The last hotel I had booked in Winnipeg through this site was disgusting and unsafe.
Good location, easy walk to downtown Courtenay and to two large grocery stores. Very large room with table and two chairs. Bed and bath linens were very white and clean. Mini fridge has a small freezer section. Microwave in room. Efficient and quiet air conditioner. Coin operated washer and dryer on premises. Vinyl plank flooring instead of carpet which is a great idea. Good cable TV selection.
It was a pleasant stay, it's a generic big hotel with usual amenities - nothing unique or special. Ticks all the boxes we were able to get an extra bed in our room. Room had microwave, kettle and so we could do a little self-catering which is useful when travelling with teenagers. The pool and hot tub were nice - but we had to book in our slot and there were only a few slots available.
A huge shout out to the staff! Our soccer team was in town for a tournament and (not going to lie) they were all over that hotel and pool. The staff were so on top of everything it was amazing. There was one front end staff member in the evenings that was so helpful, kind and he really went the extra mile. Thank you Old House for the hospitality.
Hotel was well located on a main arterial. They honored our request for a top floor room away from the elevator. If traveling with families, there is a very nice pool, spa, and water slide available. The included breakfast was decent in terms of options and quality--not stellar, but good. The front desk staff was very nice--patient and helpful.
Friendly staff person Val greeted us as soon as we arrived. She gave us all the information we needed and escorted me to the room. Hotel is noticeably older but we were told they were renovating and it was a lot to do. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The bed was great!
My sister and I were lucky enough to find Garden House unbooked for the entire week we were in Courtenay on family business. It was the perfect “home away from home.” I would have taken the bed home if I could have managed it!😜 Great hosts. Email them if you need anything. They are quick to respond.
Location was perfect and breakfast was excellent. Nice also having restaurant attached to hotel.
Only thing was missing was a pool for the kids. Did have to ask to get new towels. Front desk was very accommodating and were able to provide paper plates and cutlery one night we decisided to stay in.
There was no breakfast offered.I loved our room, the wonderful grounds. The more than helpful staff, the delicious coffee in room, the warm tile in the bathroom. The decorating was comfortable and modern. I love your hotel. Would love to return.
It was the worst breakfast that I’ve ever seen in a motel or hotel. Nothing to eat for a person that is gluten intolerant. The packaged egg muffin was dry and tasteless. Apples mushy. Had a yogurt and went out for breakfast
our whole trip was amazing. I didnt have high expectations as a 2 star but this hotel blew me AWAY! rooms and hotel were extremely clean, breakfast was a hot buffet and not just a continental, staff were very friendly.
The breakfast was excellent, consisting of yogurt, juice, eggs, tomatoe, toast and banana slices. The property is centrally located for both Comox and Courtenay, and has beautiful views of the estuary.
The property was in a lovely area, a short drive to downtown Comox. Clean and very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Nice outdoor space, secure and quiet surroundings.
