With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. The area is billed Courtney/ Comox and it was the comox area that was most inviting. Scenery, restaurants etc. Locals Restaurant was probably one of the best restaurants and value we’ve been to in a long time.

As we were driving a classic car, we wanted a hotel where we could park our car right in front of our room and that worked out perfectly.
