Once a remote dwelling, Kvilda has become a bustling place for both summer and winter holiday goers. Great dining, local brewery, yummy locally baked pastries, cross country skiing Shangri-La and more. Nature, nature, nature .... and great hosts.

We think Kvilda is a good base for walking in the Sumava.
We think Kvilda is a good base for walking in the Sumava. There is a good road to Kvilda. There is a helpful Information Centre with a wildlife display in the rear. We were given a map showing the walking trails which are colour coded. There are signposts and coloured markings. We stayed on the hard-surfaced paths. I would not recommend going off the hard-surfaced paths without expect knowledge.

The house is newly reconstructed (summer 2022), the works are not finished yet but the apartment is completely ready. I think the whole complex will be finished until the end of 2022. That means the apartment is brand new, equipped with modern furniture, smart tv's and everything in the kitchen. Wellness is nice. The region is very wild and relaxing. Mockrat dekujeme!

There are also multiple XC skiing trails just a few minutes walk from the door. A grocery shop, restaurants, bakery - all within reach. We didn't touch our car the whole time. Our appartment was well equipped, everything looked new. Very pleasant experience.
