Janske Lazne is a ski resort which is not very suitable for beginners, in the sense that there are relatively few blue slopes. They do have beginner area's, but they are not in the main area, 5 minutes by bus away from the Gondola. The Gondola only takes 7 minutes and you have a nice 10-15 minute downhill (skiing average). Friendly people and good restaurants on the slopes. The number of restaurants in the village itself is limited. But overall a good and cheaper option than the Alps.

Janské Lásně seems to be ok for skiing trips as you have a variety of possibility for skiing (Cerna Hora, Ped pod Snezkou, Mala Upa) - at least reachable by ski bus. We were there for hiking in winter time, so we cannot judge the ski conditions. There is no shopping possibilities in the location but 1 Intersport, the party mood on Silvester was quite small.

Ideal place for hiking.
Ideal place for hiking. We came between the seasons and it was still absolutely amazing place. Those who enjoy nature, walks, bikes and just nice nature scenes - would definitely like the place. The place is very pet friendly. Nice walks in the forests are enjoyed by both kids and pets. There is a nice Timber trail among the tree crowns with amazing view on the area. Even if dogs are not allowed on the Timber trail itself, you have a place to keep the dog while you go there. And you can come with your dog to the Adrspach-Teplice Rocks park (1 hour drive from Janske Lazne), which is another wonderful place in the area. You can spend the whole day there and still want to come back again later. If you are strong enough you can climb to rocks and discover hidden lakes and valleys. But regular routs are accessible for all ages and agility levels.
It is important to understand that this rather a mountain shelter than a hotel. While it is ok as touristic starting point, where you spend most of the time outside, may be not enough if you are looking for a place to stay indoors. This is perfect location for anyone who wants to go hiking, cross-country skiing or other activities that can benefit from proximity to the mountains - it is actually in the mountains, 2km from the rest of the town. Staff was friendly, they served us dinner even though we arrived late. Good bathroom, hot water.
Very good breakfasts and dinners. Self-service buffet for the breakfast with everything. 3 course dinners.
Not so good choice of drinks in the restaurant bar. Pilsner beer (usually my favorite) not good here. Minimum wines. No coffee machine for breakfast, only a hot water, instant coffee and tea bags.
Very good location for skiing. Skis on/off from the hotel.
Clean rooms, corridors and restaurant.
The location of the hotel is incomparable—right in front of the main ski lift! The room was perfect for our needs—good shower, beds are comfortable enough, and a balcony with a view to the stream. The breakfasts were good, and the evenings where we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, the food was very well cooked. The sauna requires a reservation, and the pool was nice too.
Very convenient location of the hotel. There is a small shop and cafe nearby. Close to the mountain. The room is comfortable, small, but has everything you need. The only negative is that there is no hairdryer in the room. There is table football and hockey in the area near the reception. Each room has its own car parking.
Martin and his staff are super friendly and helpful. We could rent skis in the hotel, he helped us with all our questions and had no problem with us leaving the car in the parking lot for a bit longer.
Breakfasts were good, but not great for vegetarians. The hotel is old, but very clean. The skibus is a great addition!
Great location, close to skibus and lifts. You can ski down almost to the property (50-100m), or directly to the doors, if you have old enough skis that are not afraid of some asphalt ;)
Room is great for the price, everything you need for the stay.
But, the best of all is the host, always so helpful!!! Thank you!!!
Location close to the skiing facility - Breakfast is very good - Bed are amazing as well as balcony. Room as super clean, decoration is nice and equipment is of good brand. Very nice host.
Beautiful landscape - easy access
Host do their best to ease your life
The staff was great, they were pending for my arrival. The place was very clean and the location is convenient to go for skiing, just 10 minutes by walk.
There is a heating in toilets and bathroom. Warm place in general.
The hotel is new, modern and clean. Our son had a regular bed which was very good, The size of the room was good, it was comfortable for 3 people.
Breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
fantastic is that with small problems you can buy the skipass online for next day keeping the chipcard - just to register and upgrade for next day, if you were not sure how many days of skiing you wanted
Nice location. The receptionist proactively showed us all that was worth visiting.
hThe Hotel provided some additional discounts on those attractions that were owned by the hotel owner.
SUPER friendly host!
Very familial and friendly atmosphere. Nice common room,
Ski room with ski boot heating
Common shared bathrooms and toilets were kept very clean
Helpful staff, happy to support and very present.
Location just next to the slopes, great ski depot and amazing pool Jacuzzi area. Delicious breakfasts and great spa.
